GOD

We first must understand who God is! His identity, character, and attributes.  As the eternal Creator and the Supreme Being, God embodies love, mercy, and grace.

Our approach to God should be marked by unwavering faith and belief, as we seek Him with genuine devotion. To live a Godly life, it is essential that we first grasp the essence of who God is.

Day 1 - Monday

ONE GOD

Jesus replied, “The most important commandment is this: ‘Listen, O Israel! The Lord our God is the one and only Lord.

Mark 12:29

In a world filled with choices and diverse perspectives, it's easy to be led to believe that we have a multitude of gods to choose from. However, the Bible clearly states that there is only one true God (1 John 5:20). No other gods exist, as He alone is God (1 Tim 1:17). And our God is not exclusive to anyone, but rather He is the one God for the entire world (Rom 3:29).

Day 2 - Tuesday

CREATOR

“Friends, why are you doing this? We are merely human beings—just like you! We have come to bring you the Good News that you should turn from these worthless things and turn to the living God, who made heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them.

Acts 14:15

It is this one God who is the creator of the entire world and everything within it (Acts 17:24). He is not only the creator of all things (1 Cor 8:6), but also the source of life and breath for every individual (Acts 17:25). However, it's important to note that we may worship only God Himself, the Creator, not any of the things He created (Rom 1:25).

Day 3 - Wednesday

HE IS ETERNAL

But now as the prophets foretold and as the eternal God has commanded, this message is made known to all Gentiles everywhere, so that they too might believe and obey him.

Rom 16:26

Our God is a living (1 Thes 1:9) and eternal being who will endure forever (Rev 11:15), as He is immortal (1 Tim 6:16). His Word is eternal and will remain forever (1 Pet 1:25), and it will be constant, never changing, and it will never disappear (Matt 24:35).

Day 4 - Thursday

HE IS LOVE

We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them.

1 John 4:16

The magnitude of God's love (Eph 3:19) is beyond our comprehension. God loves us with the same intensity as He loves Jesus (John 17:23). He is the God of love (2 Cor 13:11), loving the whole world (John 3:16), including you, me, and everyone. And nothing can ever separate us from His love (Rom 8:38).

Day 5 - Friday

HE IS GOOD

Why do you call me good?” Jesus asked. “Only God is truly good.

Mark 10:18

As humans, we all have flaws, making us imperfect in our own lives and in our interactions with others (Rom 3:23). However, God is always perfectly righteous, fair, and just (Rom 3:26). Unlike us, He will always be kind, tolerant, and patient (Rom 2:4). He is truly good. Always.

Day 6 - Saturday

HE IS TRUE

I have much to say about you and much to condemn, but I won’t. For I say only what I have heard from the one who sent me, and he is completely truthful.

John 8:26

In a world filled with lies and deception, it's comforting to know that our God is the one true God (1 Thes 1:9). Everything about Him is true, and His truth is precious (2 Tim 1:14). We are called to follow His truth (Gal 5:7) and then share it with others (1 Tim 2:7).

Day 7 - Sunday

HE IS MERCIFUL

But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much.

Eph 2:4

We all fall short of God's glory, but He is a merciful God (2 Cor 1:3). We are saved by His mercy alone (Titus 3:5), not by anything we have done. God's mercy means we are spared from His wrath (1 Thes 5:9), which we would otherwise deserve. He will show His great mercy to all who fear Him (Luke 1:50).

Day 8 - Monday

HE IS GRACEFUL

So God can point to us in all future ages as examples of the incredible wealth of his grace and kindness toward us, as shown in all he has done for us who are united with Christ Jesus.

Eph 2:7

The wonderful grace of God (Acts 20:24) is when we receive something from God even though we don't deserve it. As we wouldn't earn much on our own accord, He generously gives us grace (James 4:6). While we may sometimes want more and more, His grace is more than sufficient for our needs (2 Cor 12:9).

Day 9 - Tuesday

HE IS FAITHFUL

If we are unfaithful, he remains faithful, for he cannot deny who he is.

2 Tim 2:13

We all have moments when we feel like we're constantly failing and falling short. But remember, God remains faithful to us, even when we are unfaithful to Him (2 Tim 2:13). He will never abandon us (Heb 13:5). That said, while our faithfulness will never be perfect, we should strive to be as faithful to Him as possible (1 John 2:24).

Day 10 - Wednesday

HE IS UNCHANGING

Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow.

James 1:17

While the world changes constantly around us, God remains the same. He is consistent from yesterday, to today, to tomorrow (Heb 13:8). His unchanging nature ensures that His promises (Heb 6:17) and gifts (Rom 11:29) are always available to us, and to everyone, forever.

Day 11 - Thursday

HE IS THE LIGHT

This is the message we heard from Jesus and now declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all.

1 John 1:5

Do you ever question if you're on the right path? In a world filled with darkness, it's easy to feel lost and disoriented, stumbling upon obstacles. But there is hope! The Light of the World (John 8:12) illuminates the way (2 Tim 1:10), calling us to turn away from the darkness (Acts 26:18). Embrace the light, walk in it (John 12:35), and live in its glow (Eph 5:8). By following the Light, we can leave behind the uncertainty of the darkness and find our way.

Day 12 - Friday

A GODLY LIFE

But you, Timothy, are a man of God; so run from all these evil things. Pursue righteousness and a godly life, along with faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness.

1 Tim 6:11

Now that we know God is there for us and that He is the light, the question arises: will we continue to seek worldly things, or will we pursue a Godly life? The good news is that God has provided us with everything we need to live a Godly life (2 Pet 1:3). If we are willing to train ourselves (1 Tim 4:7), He will teach (1 Tim 6:3) and lead us on His path. Let us seek a Godly life!

Day 13 - Saturday

BELIEVE IN HIM

And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.

Heb 11:6

While there are days when we feel God's presence, the act of believing is also a deliberate and conscious decision. We must choose to believe in God. It is literally His command (1 John 3:23). This belief should not be half-hearted, where doubt lingers. But it should be a strong conviction (Tit 1:9) that we hold onto firmly (Rev 3:3), and not be swayed by anyone or anything around us.

Day 14 - Sunday

FAITH IN GOD

The real children of Abraham, then, are those who put their faith in God.

Gal 3:7

Faith is believing in God without tangible evidence. Even though we cannot see Him, we have unwavering faith that He is present and supportive. We must hold onto this faith (1 Tim 1:19), a faith that should be genuine, strong (2 Tim 1:5), and solid (Tit 2:2). If there is any uncertainty in our faith, we must address it (1 Thes 3:10). Can you imagine having such profound faith that it becomes the talk of the world (Rom 1:8). Have that level of faith!

Day 15 - Monday

TRUST IN HIM

We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them.

1 John 4:16

Having faith in the unseen can be challenging, yet we are called to trust in God (1 Pet 1:21). And as we genuinely begin to trust Him (Heb 10:22), the more He reveals Himself to us, which opens our eyes, ears, and hearts further to Him. And our confidence in trusting Him (Heb 10:35) will continue to grow (2 Cor 3:4).

Day 16 - Tuesday

FEAR HIM

But I’ll tell you whom to fear. Fear God, who has the power to kill you and then throw you into hell. Yes, he’s the one to fear.

Luke 12:5

The idea of fearing God might initially seem daunting. After all, isn't He the loving God who cares for us? Of course, He is! However, we must not forget that He is also the one and only God who created the entire universe and He is the sole eternal God. Therefore, it is indeed appropriate to fear Him. Underestimating God as if He exists merely to fulfill our desires or ignoring Him is futile, as eventually, every knee will bow before Him (Rom 14:11).

Day 17 - Wednesday

SEEK HIM

Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.

Matt 6:33

While living our lives, it's easy to get caught up in various concerns. However, our primary focus should be on eternal life (John 6:27). God desires that we all seek Him (Acts 17:27). We must fully concentrate on Him (Rom 12:2) so that we can be completely confident in following the entire will of God (Col 4:12).

Day 18 - Thursday

DEVOTED

Rather, he must enjoy having guests in his home, and he must love what is good. He must live wisely and be just. He must live a devout and disciplined life.

Tit 1:8

How devoted are we to God? We cannot waver (Heb 10:23)! We must stand firm (2 Thess 2:15) and remain loyal to Him (Rev 2:13) so that we can stay fully true to Him (Phil 4:1). This is not just for a select few Christians, but all believers must be fully devoted (Acts 2:42) and passionate (John 2:17) in serving Him (Matt 4:10).

Day 19 - Friday

WORSHIP HIM

But he said, “No, don’t worship me. I am a servant of God, just like you and your brothers the prophets, as well as all who obey what is written in this book. Worship only God!

Rev 22:9

Our God is the one and only God, and as such, we can and should worship Him. However, we may worship only Him. People worship many things, creating their own little gods out of figurines, coveted things, or worldly statuses, but we must not worship such speechless idols (1 Cor 12:2). Even the things that God created, like the earth or the sun, we may not worship, but only the Creator Himself (Rom 1:25). We must flee from idolatry (1 Cor 10:14) and turn from worshiping any and all worthless things (Acts 14:15).

Day 20 - Saturday

NO PROOF

Since God in his wisdom saw to it that the world would never know him through human wisdom, he has used our foolish preaching to save those who believe.

1 Cor 1:21

By design, God created it so that our relationship with Him is based on faith (Heb 11:3), not on visible proof (2 Cor 5:7). Therefore, it would be futile to seek evidence or attempt to convince someone of God's existence based on proof. We also cannot ask for signs of His existence (Matt 16:4). What would be the purpose? Even when Jesus performed numerous miraculous signs, many people still did not believe in him (John 12:37).

Day 21 - Sunday

Innate

They know the truth about God because he has made it obvious to them. For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.

Rom 1:19-20

While the sight of God's magnificent creations may not be considered concrete evidence by scientists, there is an inherent intuition that God's hand is behind all creation and that we need to obey Him (Rom 2:14). Our very own conscience and thoughts continually remind us that God exists. If we were to deny the existence of God, we would have to forcibly suppress this innate feeling that is present within all of us, as God has made His presence evident to everyone (Rom 1:19).

JESUS

Jesus is both divine and human, and is our salvation. He lived a life that embodied both God's nature and humanity. He brought salvation, providing redemption from our sins and the promise of eternal life.

To receive this salvation, we must repent and experience a spiritual rebirth. This involves acknowledging our sins, seeking forgiveness, and accepting Jesus as our personal savior. This path of salvation sets our lives on a course that aligns with God's eternal plan.

Day 22 - Monday

JESUS

Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation

Col 1:15

This can be difficult for us to comprehend, but Jesus and God are one (John 10:30). Jesus existed in the beginning of time with God (John 1:2). Yet Jesus is also God's son (Luke 4:41), whom God sent into the world (John 10:36). He gave His one and only son so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16).

Day 23 - Tuesday

SINLESS

For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.

2 Cor 5:21

Jesus was born on earth like us in every way (Heb 2:17). He experienced the same suffering and testing as we do (Heb 2:18), yet he never sinned (1 Pet 3:18). Jesus is holy and blameless, untouched by sin (Heb 7:26), truly righteous (1 John 2:1), and greater than anyone else (John 3:31).

Day 24 - Wednesday

LOVE

Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God.

Eph 5:2

Jesus mirrors God's love for him to us (John 15:9). Jesus even gave up his life to save us (1 John 3:16). He sacrificed himself for our sins (Rom 3:25).

Day 25 - Thursday

Don’t Deny

Anyone who denies the Son doesn’t have the Father, either. But anyone who acknowledges the Son has the Father also.

1 John 2:23

The Bible is clear about people who don't believe in Jesus, calling them deceivers (2 John 1:7). It makes sense then that these people are not from God (1 John 4:3). That's why it's important for us to listen to what Jesus taught (Mark 9:7).

Day 26 - Friday

DIED

And we apostles are witnesses of all he did throughout Judea and in Jerusalem. They put him to death by hanging him on a cross

Acts 10:39

Not even the history books dispute the fact that a man named Jesus was crucified by being nailed to the cross (Luke 23:33). He was hung on the cross (Gal 3:13) and endured suffering (Acts 26:23) once for all time (1 Pet 3:18), ultimately shedding his blood as a perfect (Heb 9:14) sacrifice (Heb 9:12) for our sins, just as God had planned (Gal 1:4).

Day 27 - Saturday

RESURRECTION

From then on Jesus began to tell his disciples plainly that it was necessary for him to go to Jerusalem, and that he would suffer many terrible things at the hands of the elders, the leading priests, and the teachers of religious law. He would be killed, but on the third day he would be raised from the dead.

Matt 16:21

Jesus was buried (1 Cor 15:4) and put in a tomb guarded by soldiers (Matt 27:66). But the stone from the entrance was rolled away (Luke 24:2) because God brought Jesus back to life (Acts 2:32). Now, Jesus is alive forever (Rev 1:18).

Day 28 - Sunday

SAVIOR

Furthermore, we have seen with our own eyes and now testify that the Father sent his Son to be the Savior of the world.

1 John 4:14

It's crucial for everyone to understand that Jesus is the Messiah  (Acts 18:5), our savior. He cleaned us (Heb 1:3) from all types of sin (Tit 2:14) and gives eternal salvation (Heb 5:9) for the whole world (John 6:33).

Day 29 - Monday

Salvation

which come from your confident hope of what God has reserved for you in heaven. You have had this expectation ever since you first heard the truth of the Good News.

Col 1:5

It was predicted well before Jesus was even born that he would suffer, die, and be raised from the dead (Luke 24:46). His death for our sins, as a sacrifice, is what salvation is (Eph 1:13). This is what's called the Good News (Mark 1:1).

Day 30 - Tuesday

SIN

When Adam sinned, sin entered the world. Adam’s sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned.

Rom 5:12

What do we need salvation from? Sin! Our own sins. Because Adam's sin brought sin upon everyone (Rom 5:18), everyone has sinned (Rom 3:23). It doesn't matter if you have sinned a little or a lot (James 2:10), the result is the same...our sins will keep us separated from God (Col 1:21).

Day 31 - Wednesday

FORGIVEN

When I am writing to you who are God’s children because your sins have been forgiven through Jesus.

1 John 2:12

Jesus came to remove our sins (1 John 3:5). There is forgiveness for all who repent, and change their ways (Luke 24:47). He takes away the whole world's sins (John 1:29). His blood (Rev 1:5) washes away (Acts 22:16) and cleanses us from all sins (1 John 1:7), and once he forgives us (Luke 1:77), he will never think about them again (Heb 8:12).

Day 32 - Thursday

REPENT

From then on Jesus began to preach, “Repent of your sins and turn to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near.

Matt 4:17

Let’s not be consumed with pursuing merely worldly goals (Col 3:7), as we must leave our old sinful nature behind (Eph 4:22). We must repent of our sins and turn to God (Acts 2:38), so that our sins may be wiped away (Acts 3:19).

Day 33 - Friday

Everyone

God overlooked people’s ignorance about these things in earlier times, but now he commands everyone everywhere to repent of their sins and turn to him.

Acts 17:30

All who belong to the Lord must turn away from evil (2 Tim 2:19). We are specifically instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures (Tit 2:12).  God wants everyone to be saved (1 Tim 2:4), not just some or most (Acts 13:24). And everyone who calls on the Lord will be saved (Rom 10:13), no matter who they are, where they come from (Rom 10:15), if they are poor, sick (Luke 4:18), or sinners (Luke 7:47). He will never turn anyone away (John 6:37).

Day 34 - Saturday

SLIP

All of you, slave and free both, were once held hostage in a sinful society. Then a huge sum was paid out for your ransom. So please don’t, out of old habit, slip back into being or doing what everyone else tells you. Friends, stay where you were called to be. God is there. Hold the high ground with him at your side.

1 Cor 7:23-24

Once we find God, we should be cautious not to fall back into chasing after our old worldly desires (1 Pet 1:14). Why would we want to be lost in a purposeless world again (Gal 4:9)? But if we do slip back, we can always repent and turn to God once more (Rev 3:3).

Day 35 - Sunday

ONLY WAY

Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.

John 14:6

There is only one way to be saved (John 10:9). There is simply no other way (Acts 4:12). If we don't turn to God, we can't have eternal life (John 6:53).

Day 36 - Monday

REVEALED

For everything that is hidden will eventually be brought into the open, and every secret will be brought to light.

Mark 4:22

It doesn't matter if it was in public or in private, out in the open or in our darkest secrets (Luke 12:3); everything will be revealed (Luke 12:2). We won't be able to hide or cover up anything. Eventually, each of us will be held responsible for everything we've ever done (Rom 14:12).

Day 37 - Tuesday

REBORN

They are reborn — not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God.

John 1:13

Once we realize that we are sinners, that we must change our ways by turning away from our sins and turn to God...that's when we are born again (John 3:3). We receive a new life (1 Cor 15:22) and we will live forever (John 6:51).

Day 38 - Wednesday

ETERNAL LIFE

And this is what God has testified: He has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

1 John 5:11

The consequences of sin is death (Rom 6:23). It doesn't matter if it's one sin or ten thousand. But there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ (Rom 8:1). Those people will never perish (John 10:28), but will inherit eternal live (Tit 3:7), living with Christ forever (1 The 5:10).

Day 39 - Thursday

JUDGEMENT

And just as each person is destined to die once and after that comes judgment,

Heb 9:27

One day (Acts 17:31), we will be judged (2 Cor 5:10). For everyone in every nation (Matt 25:32), He will pass judgment on the people of the world (Jude 1:15). We must keep in mind that everything we do today and every day, it will be judged (James 2:12).

Day 40  - Friday

ONE JUDGE

God alone, who gave the law, is the Judge. He alone has the power to save or to destroy. So what right do you have to judge your neighbor?

James 4:12

There is only one judge. God is the judge over all things (Heb 12:23). He doesn't have favorites (Acts 10:34), His judgments are fair (1 Pet 2:23), true, and just (Rev 16:7). He will judge everyone according to what they have done (Rom 2:6), and they will each receive whatever they deserve (Rev 2:23).

Day 41 - Saturday

DON'T JUDGE

So why do you condemn another believer? Why do you look down on another believer? Remember, we will all stand before the judgment seat of God.

Rom 14:10

When we see someone do something wrong, it's easy to point out their mistakes and judge them. However, the truth is that we are not any better (Rom 2:1). It's just that at that moment, we saw them sin, but at a different time, they would see us sin as well. We have no right to judge (1 Cor 4:7) or condemn anyone (Rom 14:13). Even Jesus, who came to save the world, didn't judge (John 12:47); only God can judge.

Day 42 - Sunday

DON'T REFUSE

But because you are stubborn and refuse to turn from your sin, you are storing up terrible punishment for yourself. For a day of anger is coming, when God’s righteous judgment will be revealed.

Rom 2:5

Do not be stubborn (Acts 7:51) and intentionally close your eyes, ears (Acts 28:27), and minds (Eph 4:18). This is how Satan tricks people by blinding their minds (2 Cor 4:4), which can cause them to harden their hearts (Heb 3:15), dismiss, avoid (John 5:43), and even laugh at God in contempt (Acts 17:32). This refusal to believe in God is the world's sin (John 16:9).

Day 43 - Monday

CONSEQUENCES

For God did not spare even the angels who sinned. He threw them into hell, in gloomy pits of darkness, where they are being held until the day of judgment.

2 Pet 2:4

No sin will go unnoticed (Heb 2:2), including the most secretive ones (Rom 2:16). Although it may seem fun now, living and enjoying an evil life (2 Thes 2:12) will prevent those people from inheriting the Kingdom of God (Gal 5:21). The wicked and the righteous will be separated (Matt 13:29), and those who don't believe will be condemned (Mark 16:16), not just for a while, but forever (2 Thes 1:9).

Day 44 - Tuesday

DEATH

No, and I tell you again that unless you repent, you will perish, too.

Luke 13:5

God will not withhold his anger and wrath from those who choose a life filled with sin and refuse to obey him (Rom 2:8). He will convict them (Jude 1:15), and unless they turn to and believe in him (John 8:24), they will die a horrible death (Matt 21:41).

Day 45 - Wednesday

Hell

And anyone whose name was not found recorded in the Book of Life was thrown into the lake of fire.

Rev 20:15

We all live here on earth together, both the born again and the worldly. However, one day we will be separated, and those without God will go to hell (Matt 13:30). It may sound harsh, but it's true that those who ignore God are separating themselves from Him. It's important to understand now that hell is not a pleasant place. It is an incredibly painful place (Luke 13:28) with endless fire (Mark 9:48) and no chance of relief (Luke 16:24).

Day 46 - Thursday

Grace

We believe that we are all saved the same way, by the undeserved grace of the Lord Jesus.

Acts 15:11

Human effort accomplishes nothing (John 6:63), we cannot be made right with God by obeying the law (Gal 2:16). We will never deserve salvation (2 Tim 1:9), as it is not a reward for the things we have done (Eph 2:9), but rather an undeserved privilege (Rom 5:2) that is free (Rom 11:6).

Day 47 - Friday

BY FAITH

For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood. This sacrifice shows that God was being fair when he held back and did not punish those who sinned in times past,

Rom 3:25

He makes people right with Himself only by faith (Rom 3:30), as a free gift (Rom 4:16), not by obeying the law (Gal 2:16). It doesn't matter who you are or where you are from; anyone (John 5:24) and everyone (Acts 10:43) will be saved who believes in the Lord (Acts 16:31). We must all remain strong in our faith (1 Thes 3:7).

Day 48 - Saturday

WHEN

Did God’s people stumble and fall beyond recovery? Of course not! They were disobedient, so God made salvation available to the Gentiles. But he wanted his own people to become jealous and claim it for themselves.

Rom 11:11

God is being patient, He doesn't want anyone to perish for eternity (2 Pet 3:9). It doesn't matter if you become born again early or late in your life (Matt 20:12), but at one point, it would be too late (Luke 13:25). And as we wouldn't know when that would be (2 Pet 3:10), don't disregard every single day (Luke 21:34-35), because the consequences are too great, and there won't be any excuses (Luke 14:18). Complaining won't help (Matt 13:50), and we won't even be able to warn others (Luke 16:28).

Day 49 - Sunday

FOUR TYPES

Did He told many stories in the form of parables, such as this one: “Listen! A farmer went out to plant some seeds.

Matt 13:3

There are some who hear the message about the Kingdom and don't understand it (Matt 13:4). And there are some who hear the message and immediately receive it with joy, but they fall away as soon as they have problems or are persecuted for believing God's word (Matt 13:20-21). There are also some who hear God's word, but all too quickly the message is crowded out by the worries of this life and the lure of wealth, so no fruit is produced (Matt 13:22). Then there are some who truly hear and understand God's word and produce a harvest of thirty, sixty, or even a hundred times as much as had been planted (Matt 13:23)! The question is, which one are you?

Day 50 - Monday

ETERNAL GAIN

And all nations will hate you because you are my followers. But everyone who endures to the end will be saved.

Matt 10:22

Through Jesus, we will have a rich and satisfying life (John 10:10), with our names being registered in heaven (Luke 10:20), where we will have endless (Eph 3:8) priceless (1 Pet 1:4) treasures reserved for us (Col 1:5).

Day 51 - Tuesday

BAPTISM

This messenger was John the Baptist. He was in the wilderness and preached that people should be baptized to show that they had repented of their sins and turned to God to be forgiven.

Mark 1:4

Baptism is a response to God (1 Pet. 3:21). As we repented of our sins (Acts 19:4), baptism symbolizes the end of our old sinful nature and the start of a new life (Col. 2:12).

Day 52 - Wednesday

GET BAPTIZED

Peter replied, “Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Acts 2:38

Once you believe, you should get baptized (Acts 2:41) with water (Matt. 3:11) right away (Acts 16:33). There is no point in waiting (Acts 22:16). And do so in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Matt 28:19).

Righteousness

If we profess our love for God and our desire to love Him, it implies that we must live in a manner that is pleasing to Him. This entails leading a righteous life, one that aligns with the teachings of the Bible and is in accordance with God's will. It requires us to obey the commandments, to have the discipline to do what is right, and to resist temptation.

After acknowledging God for who He is and accepting the salvation offered by His Son, Jesus, the next step in our daily Christian lives is to live righteously in accordance with God's Word.

Day 53 - Thursday

RIGHTEOUSNESS

For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life.

1 Thes 4:7

God called us to live holy lives (2 Tim. 1:9). To live pure and blameless lives (Phil. 1:10) in obedience to God (Phil. 2:8). To hate what is wrong and hold tightly to what is good (Rom. 12:9). To live truly righteous lives (Eph. 4:23).

Day 54 - Friday

NOT OPTIONAL

“Why ask me about what is good?” Jesus replied. “There is only One who is good. But to answer your question—if you want to receive eternal life, keep the commandments.”

Matt 19:17

We must pursue righteousness (1 Tim 6:11) in everything we do (1 Pet 1:15). Some believers mistakenly think that since God forgives us, they can do whatever they want. However, that's not the case. If we say that we know God, but disregard the commandments, then we are not living in the truth (1 John 2:4). Instead, we must be careful to obey all of God's commandments (Luke 1:6). Then, we should teach new Christians to do the same (Matt 28:20).

Day 55 - Saturday

TWO COMMANDMENTS

The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.

Matt 22:40

At first, it might seem that there are countless commandments in the Bible. However, all of the commandments can be summarized in two main commandments. The first is to love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength (Mark 12:30). The second is to love your neighbor as yourself (Mark 12:31).

Day 56 - Sunday

PURE LIVES

God’s will is for you to be holy, so stay away from all sexual sin.

1 Thess 4:3

We must live clean, innocent, (Phil 2:15), pure lives (Titus 2:5), staying true to what is right (1 Tim 4:16). We need to prove by the way we live that we have repented of our sins and turned to God (Matt 3:8), because we are each responsible for our own conduct (Gal 6:5).

Day 57 - Monday

ALL SINNERS

For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.

Rom 3:23

It's important to recognize that we all have made mistakes (James 3:2), none of us are perfect, and that we are all sinners. If we would attempt to claim that we have not sinned, then we would be calling God a liar (1 John 1:10), and only fooling ourselves (1 John 1:8).

Day 58 - Tuesday

NOT SLAVES

They promise freedom, but they themselves are slaves of sin and corruption. For you are a slave to whatever controls you.

2 Pet 2:19

Becoming a slave to sin, will only lead us deeper into sin (Rom 6:19). The question is, does sin control us or do we control our own sin (1 Cor 3:3)? We are under no obligation to do what our sinful nature urges us to do (Rom 8:12)!

Day 59 - Wednesday

GET RID OF SIN

Think carefully about what is right, and stop sinning. For to your shame I say that some of you don’t know God at all.

1 Cor 15:34

Sinful nature wants to do evil (Gal 5:17), it wants to control our lives (Rom 8:6). But we can take no part of it (Eph 5:11). We must get rid of all evil behavior (1 Pet 2:1), run from such evil things (1 Tim 6:11), because we must strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up (Heb 12:1).

Day 60 - Thursday

LEADERS OF SIN

But if you cause one of these little ones who trusts in me to fall into sin, it would be better for you to be thrown into the sea with a large millstone hung around your neck.

Mark 9:42

Sinning is bad, but even worse is encouraging others to sin along with them (Rom 1:32). In the end, these leaders of sin will not fare well.

Day 61  - Friday

DON'T TOLERATE SIN

They told you that in the last times there would be scoffers whose purpose in life is to satisfy their ungodly desires.

Jude 1:18

There are some people who leap into sin as if it's not even sinful. They entirely ignore the fact that they are sinning and are solely focused on enjoyment and pursuing whatever brings them pleasure (2 Thes 2:12). We are not to tolerate such sinners (Rev 2:2), nor should we endorse them or join them in their sinful lives.

Day 62 - Saturday

CORRECT OTHERS

Rescue others by snatching them from the flames of judgment. Show mercy to still others, but do so with great caution, hating the sins that contaminate their lives.

Jude 1:23

Should we see our brother or sister sin, there is a perception that we may not get involved because we can't judge them. Which is correct; we may not judge them. That responsibility falls on God alone. However, that doesn't mean that we shouldn't help others to do what is right and build them up in the Lord (Rom 15:2). It may be uncomfortable at first (2 Cor 7:8), but we do have to help others so they do not become immoral or Godless (Heb 12:16).

Day 63 - Sunday

DISCIPLINED

For our earthly fathers disciplined us for a few years, doing the best they knew how. But God’s discipline is always good for us, so that we might share in his holiness.

Heb 12:10

If we are God's children, when needed, He does discipline us (Heb 12:8). We should not take this lightly (Heb 12:5). And even if it isn't desirable at the time (Heb 12:11), we must endure it (Heb 12:7).

Day 64 - Monday

TEMPTATIONS

Temptation comes from our own desires, which entice us and drag us away.

James 1:14

It is important to know that God will never tempt anyone (James 1:13). Satan tempts us (Mark 1:13), trying to outsmart us with his evil schemes (2 Cor 2:11). But it is also important to know that we will never have more temptation than what we can stand (1 Cor 10:13). So stay alert (1 Pet 5:8), be careful not to give in (1 Cor 10:12), and patiently endure all testing and temptation, because Satan will never stop coming after us (Luke 17:1).

Day 65 - Tuesday

WORSE OFF

It would be better if they had never known the way to righteousness than to know it and then reject the command they were given to live a holy life.

2 Pet 2:21

Once we know God and we get rid of evil, we cannot let evil back in, because then even more evil will return (Matt 12:45).

Day 66 - Wednesday

OUR BEST

Well then, should we keep on sinning so that God can show us more and more of his wonderful grace? Of course not! Since we have died to sin, how can we continue to live in it?

Rom 6:1-2

Some people say that the more we sin, the better (Rom 3:8), but they continue to deliberately sin (Heb 10:26) only to satisfy their own sinful nature (Gal 5:13). This is wrong (Rom 6:15). We must make every effort to live as blameless lives as possible (2 Pet 3:14).

Day 67 - Thursday

NO SECRETS

I know all the things you do. I have seen your love, your faith, your service, and your patient endurance. And I can see your constant improvement in all these things.

Rev 2:19

God is watching us (2 Cor 2:17), He knows our hearts (Acts 15:8), just as Jesus knew what others were thinking (Matt 9:4). God knows our deepest thoughts (Luke 2:35) and our intentions (Rev 2:23), nothing in all creation is hidden from Him (Heb 4:13).

Day 68 - Friday

GUILT

When Judas, who had betrayed him, realized that Jesus had been condemned to die, he was filled with remorse.

Matt 27:3

The guilt of sin can bring us to tears (Luke 7:37) or worse (Matt 27:5). Guilt can be very convicting (Matt 26:75) to the point that one can't even be around those who could convict them of their sin (Mark 5:17). But perhaps even worse, is once someone no longer even has a sense of shame over their sins and they eagerly practice every kind of impurity (Eph 4:19).

Day 69 - Saturday

BE GENUINE

A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. What you say flows from what is in your heart.

Luke 6:45

We are what is in our hearts (Mark 7:15). We might externally pretend to honor God with our words, but our hearts could be far away from Him (Matt 15:8). We must cleanse ourselves from the inside out (Matt 23:26).

Day 70 - Sunday

ROLE MODELS

Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children.

Eph 5:1

Who are our role models? Who do we look up to? Who do we want to be like? While there are good people around us who we might want to mimic, ultimately, Jesus should be our true example. We must follow in his footsteps (1 Pet 2:21), living our lives as he did (1 John 2:6). We can also imitate the disciples (2 Thess 3:7), as they too gave us an example to follow (2 Thess 3:9).

Day 71 - Monday

BE A ROLE MODEL

Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity.

1 Tim 4:12

We must live righteous lives (Rom 13:13) so that it may be a good example to others (1 Pet 5:3). Everything we say and do, we must do as representatives of God (Col 3:17). Non-believers too should respect the way we live (1 The 4:12).

Day 72 - Tuesday

CORRECTION

He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more.

John 15:2

Receiving correction is never easy. It’s almost always uncomfortable. But God corrects and disciplines us because He loves us (Rev 3:19). While it could be unpleasant at the moment, we should accept his correction with gladness, as He is protecting us and cares about us to make sure that we are on the best path possible.

Day 73 - Wednesday

NOT EASY

Don’t look for shortcuts to God. The market is flooded with surefire, easygoing formulas for a successful life that can be practiced in your spare time. Don’t fall for that stuff, even though crowds of people do. The way to life—to God!—is vigorous and requires total attention.

Matt 7: 13-14

Jesus could have lived any lifestyle here on earth, but he chose to share the oppression of God's people (Heb 11:25). It started with a test of forty days and nights (Matt 4:2-3), all the way to him sacrificing his life for us (Eph 5:2). Just because we choose to serve God, that doesn't mean that all our problems and challenges will disappear.

Day 74 - Thursday

OBEY

If you love me, obey my commandments.

John 14:15

We have to listen to God (Matt 17:5). But not just listen, but actually do what He says (James 1:22). We say that we need to love God, this is how we love Him, by obeying His commandments (John 14:21). This is how we know that we are living in Him (1 John 2:5).

Day 75 - Friday

OVERCOME SIN

Do not let sin control the way you live; do not give in to sinful desires.

Rom 6:12

There is a potential that we just give in to our sinful natures (Rom 8:5), but we don't have to (Rom 6:6). Sin is no longer our master (Rom 6:14). We should make a clean sweep of our lives (Matt 3:12) and sin no more (John 8:11).

Day 76 - Saturday

PLEASE GOD

Finally, dear brothers and sisters, we urge you in the name of the Lord Jesus to live in a way that pleases God, as we have taught you. You live this way already, and we encourage you to do so even more.

1 Thess 4:1

We must carefully determine what pleases God (Eph 5:10), as we should desire to please Him (Phil 2:13), for it is our purpose to please Him, not people (1 Thess 2:4). And not just on Sundays, but always (John 8:29).

Day 77 - Sunday

BLAMELESS LIVES

Be careful to live properly among your unbelieving neighbors. Then even if they accuse you of doing wrong, they will see your honorable behavior, and they will give honor to God when he judges the world.

1 Pet 2:12

Our lives serve as examples to others in how to live Godly lives. We must always live above reproach (1 Tim 3:2) so that no one can find fault with us (1 Tim 6:14).

Day 78 - Monday

CONSEQUENCES

That is the way it will be at the end of the world. The angels will come and separate the wicked people from the righteous,

Matt 13:49

God cannot stand sin (Rom 1:18). He is both kind and severe (Rom 11:22), and His wrath will fall on all those who disobey Him (Eph 5:6).

Day 79 - Tuesday

IMPACT

If you keep yourself pure, you will be a special utensil for honorable use. Your life will be clean, and you will be ready for the Master to use you for every good work.

2 Tim 2:21

If we obey God, it's not just about how it impacts us, but also about the impact we can have on others. If we live righteously, then God will give us authority to rule the nations (Rev 2:26).

Day 80 - Wednesday

REWARDS

And they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous will go into eternal life.

Matt 25:46

If we live a righteous life, rather than being abandoned (Rom 1:24) and finding ourselves in trouble and calamity (Rom 2:9), we will be saved (Matt 24:13). We will overflow with joy (John 15:11), not just in this life, but in the life to come (1 Tim 4:8).

PRAYERS

Prayers are an essential part of our lives. They provide a means for us to communicate with God. While God can communicate with us through His Word and through others, we reach out to Him through prayer, establishing a two-way dialogue. The Bible contains numerous references to prayer, illustrating the various forms and purposes of prayer.

As long as our hearts, minds, and spirits are genuinely aligned, there may not be a rigid right or wrong way to pray. Nevertheless, we can discern between authentic prayers and those offered for show or driven by self-interest.

Day 81 - Thursday

PRAY

Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart.

Col 4:2

Never stop praying (1 Thess 5:17)! Pray constantly (1 Thess 1:2), all the time (Eph 6:18), night and day (2 Tim 1:3). Pray about everything (Matt 6:8).

Day 82 - Friday

GOD HEARS

You always hear me, but I said it out loud for the sake of all these people standing here, so that they will believe you sent me.

John 11:42

It's hard for us to understand how God can hear millions of people's prayers at the same time. But He can, because He is God. And who would know better than Jesus, who looked up to heaven and thanked God for hearing him (John 11:41). Have no doubt, He hears your prayers!

Day 83 - Saturday

RIGHTEOUSE PRAYERS

We know that God doesn’t listen to sinners, but he is ready to hear those who worship him and do his will.

John 9:31

God will turn from those who do evil, but He will watch those who do right (1 Pet 3:12), and their earnest prayers will be powerful and impactful (James 5:16).

Day 84 - Sunday

His will

And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.

Rom 8:28

Rather than chasing our own desires (1 Pet 4:2), we have to ask God with the right motives, not selfish pleasure (James 4:2-3). As we don't even know what tomorrow holds (James 4:13-16), He will always know better what we need (Matt 6:8). We should seek His will, and not ours (Matt 26:38). It would be useless for us to fight against His will (Acts 26:14), so the best thing we can ask for is complete knowledge of His will (Col 1:9).

Day 85 - Monday

PLAYER QUALITIES

The world is full of so-called prayer warriors who are prayer-ignorant. They’re full of formulas and programs and advice, peddling techniques for getting what you want from God. Don’t fall for that nonsense.

Matt 6:7-8

There is no magical formula for a prayer to get what you want. But there are qualities of genuine prayers. Remain humble (Luke 18:13), simple, and honest (Matt 6:6), and not for the sake of a public show (Matt 6:5).

Day 86 - Tuesday

HE ANSWERS

So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him.

Matt 7:11

Do not let your loyalty be divided between God and the world (James 1:8). When you pray, ensure that your faith is in God alone (James 1:6), and as God sees everything, He will reward you (Matt 6:18) as He graciously answers prayers (2 Cor 1:11).

Day 87 - Wednesday

PRAYER PLACES

One day soon afterward Jesus went up on a mountain to pray, and he prayed to God all night.

Luke 6:12

Jesus often went out of the way to a mountain top to pray (Luke 9:28). And while secluded places can be ideal for private prayers, so can a church be a house of prayer (Luke 19:46).

Day 88 - Thursday

PRAY ALONE

Before daybreak the next morning, Jesus got up and went out to an isolated place to pray.

Mark 1:35

Whether on a mountaintop (Matt 14:23), hills (Mark 6:46), the olive grove (Mark 14:32), or rooftop (Acts 10:9), Jesus and his disciples often withdrew (Luke 5:16) to find a quiet, secluded (Matt 6:6), isolated place to pray (Mark 1:35) alone (Luke 9:18).

Day 89 - Friday

PRAY WITH OTHERS

When he realized this, he went to the home of Mary, the mother of John Mark, where many were gathered for prayer.

Acts 12:12

There are times when we need to pray alone, but there are also times when we need to kneel and pray with others (Acts 20:36). Especially in difficult times, being able to support each other and pray together is helpful (Acts 16:25).

Day 90 - Saturday

PRAYER HELP

Pray to the Lord for me,” Simon exclaimed, “that these terrible things you’ve said won’t happen to me!”

Acts 8:24

We can ask others to pray for us (2 Thess 3:1) or pray together (Matt 26:38) united (Acts 1:14).

Day 91 - Sunday

PRAY FOR OTHERS

Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.

Eph 6:18

We need to constantly (Eph 1:16) always pray earnestly (Col 4:12) for all people (1 Tim 2:1). Never stop praying for others (Col 1:9).

Day 92 - Monday

TIME IN PRAYER

With the crowd dispersed, he climbed the mountain so he could be by himself and pray. He stayed there alone, late into the night.

Matt 14:23

There is no need to babble and keep repeating our prayers again and again (Matt 6:7). Be direct. Ask for what you need (Matt 7:7). And even so, Jesus prayed to God all night (Luke 6:12).

Day 93 - Tuesday

ASK

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.

Phil 4:6

People pleaded (Matt 8:5) and begged (Luke 9:38) to Jesus, and he helped those people. We shouldn't be afraid to ask God, after all, He is in charge of the harvest (Luke 10:2).

Day 94 - Wednesday

SELFLESS PRAYERS

And even when you ask, you don’t get it because your motives are all wrong—you want only what will give you pleasure.

James 4:3

Praying to God is not about wanting more things for our own selfish desires. God is not someone we can trick into gaining something for our own selfish ambitions (John 14:13). When He says you can ask for anything in His name, that doesn't mean just say Jesus' name at the end of the prayer. But in His name means, for His purpose. If it is in line with what God wants, then your prayers will be answered (John 14:11).

Day 95 - Thursday

KEEP ASKING

Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.

Matt 7:7

Keep on praying (Rom 12:12) persistently (Eph 6:18) and constantly (Luke 18:5), never giving up (Luke 18:1). Because if you keep on knocking long enough, He will give you what you need (Luke 11:8).

Day 96 - Friday

Timing

“Get up!” the angel said. “Take the child and his mother back to the land of Israel, because those who were trying to kill the child are dead.”

Matt 2:20

Sometimes we want to tell God our plans, and not just what we want, but also when we want God to do it for us. However, God knows much better what we need and when we need it. Often, we would have no idea why God's timing is much better than what we might desire. Therefore, if God guides the timeline, we should graciously accept it (Matt 2:13).

Verse 97 - Saturday

FORGIVENESS

and forgive us our sins, as we have forgiven those who sin against us.

Matt 6:12

We need to turn away from our sins (Acts 8:22) so we can be forgiven (James 5:15). But also, we need to forgive others (Matt 6:14) first, so God forgives us too (Mark 11:25)

Day 98 - Sunday

DISCIPLINED PRAYER

Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart.

Col 4:2

No matter how tired we are, we must devote ourselves to prayer, and we must stay alert to pray (Matt 26:41). We must be earnest and disciplined in our prayers (1 Pet 4:7) and not fall asleep (Mark 14:37).

Day 99 - Monday

TEMPTATION

Keep watch and pray, so that you will not give in to temptation. For the spirit is willing, but the body is weak!”

Matt 26:41

All of us in every situation have a choice, we either choose to give into temptation or resist it. Pray that you will not give in to temptation (Luke 22:40).

Day 100 - Tuesday

ENEMIES

Bless those who curse you. Pray for those who hurt you.

Luke 6:28

Even those who persecute us, we cannot curse them. Instead, even those who make things difficult for us, we need to pray for them (Rom 12:14).

Day 101 - Wednesday

FAITH IN PRAYER

You can pray for anything, and if you have faith, you will receive it.

Matt 21:22

Anything is possible if a person believes (Mark 9:23), but one must truly believe it will happen and have no doubts in their heart (Mark 11:23). One must have bold belief (Matt 9:2) for their requests to be granted (Matt 15:28). Because if we do not believe, He will not be able to do any miracles for us (Mark 6:5).

Day 102 - Thursday

DON'T WORRY, PRAY

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.

Phil 4:6

When facing hardship (James 5:13), do not be afraid, but pray and have faith (Mark 5:36).

Love

It's not by accident that the Bible says love is the greatest. With our focus on God and others, our underlying motivation should be love. Everything we do should come from a place of love. Love God and love others.

Remember, loving others isn't just a suggestion to think about, it's a commandment. Loving God and others isn't something we can just ignore or not pay attention to. It's a must, and we have to do it with a real, sincere heart.

Day 103 - Friday

LOVE IS THE GREATEST

Let love be your highest goal! But you should also desire the special abilities the Spirit gives—especially the ability to prophesy.

1 Cor 14:1

Faith, hope, and love will all last forever, but love is the greatest (1 Cor 13:13). Therefore, we should live our whole lives with love (Eph 5:2) in everything that we do (1 Cor 16:14).

Day 104 - Saturday

LOVE IS IMPORTANT

Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins.

1 Pet 4:8

It is essential that we love others (1 Thess 4:9), for even if we do the greatest things for others, if we do it without love, we would gain nothing (1 Cor 13:3).

Day 105 - Sunday

LOVE COMMANDMENT

This is my commandment: Love each other in the same way I have loved you.

John 15:12

Loving others is not a choice. Loving others is a commandment (John 15:17), an obligation, a requirement (Rom 13:8). It is what demonstrates that we are of God (John 13:35). If we do not love others, then we are still dead (1 John 3:14), and we do not belong to God (1 John 3:10).

Day 106 - Monday

WHAT IS LOVE

Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.

1 Cor 13:4-7

God is love (1 John 4:16), and love will last forever (1 Cor 13:8).

Day 107 - Tuesday

MORE LOVE

And as we live in God, our love grows more perfect. So we will not be afraid on the day of judgment, but we can face him with confidence because we live like Jesus here in this world.

1 John 4:17

Our love for others should grow (2 Thess 1:3) more and more (Phil 1:9). We shouldn't just love others a little bit, but our love for others should overflow (1 Thess 3:12).

Day 108 - Wednesday

GENUINE LOVE

Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other.

Rom 12:10

Don't just pretend to love others, really love others (Rom 12:9) sincerely and deeply (1 Pet 1:22) from a pure heart (1 Tim 1:5).

Day 109 - Thursday

LOVE EVERYONE

If you love only those who love you, what reward is there for that? Even corrupt tax collectors do that much.

Matt 5:46

It's easy to love and care for those who love us back or someone who might bring a benefit to us. But it's much harder to love our enemies (Luke 6:35). But those are the people who we need to love. Healthy people don't need a doctor, sick people do (Matt 9:12). We need to love those who truly need our love, even if they can't or won't do anything in return.

Day 110 - Friday

Love more

Indeed, you already show your love for all the believers throughout Macedonia. Even so, dear brothers and sisters, we urge you to love them even more.

1 Thess 4:10

Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love (Heb 10:24) and continue reaffirming our love for others (2 Cor 2:8).

CALLING

Every one of us possesses a unique calling. When it comes to expressing love to others, we have two main responsibilities. First, to share the Good News with others. Second, to do good for others. Just as Jesus healed, each of us has been given a God-given talent to help others. It is crucial to discover our calling and then to take action. It may not always be easy, and it might require sacrifice, giving up some of the comforts of our lives. However, ignoring or delaying God's calling, would not be wise.

Day 111 - Saturday

CALLED

Remember, dear brothers and sisters, that few of you were wise in the world’s eyes or powerful or wealthy when God called you.

1 Cor 1:26

We do not need to be powerful or wealthy to be called by God (1 Cor 1:26). Jesus himself was a carpenter (Mark 6:3). Others were also ordinary men and women with no special training in the Bible (Acts 4:13); tentmakers (Acts 18:3), tax collectors (Matt 9:9), servant girls (Luke 1:48), and people disliked for their ethnicity (Luke 10:31). But no matter what our background or current situation may be, we are chosen as His instruments (Acts 9:15) and He is sending us (John 20:21) out into the world for His will.

Day 112 - Sunday

Calling

But even before I was born, God chose me and called me by his marvelous grace. Then it pleased him

Gal 1:15

When we were in our mother's womb, He already chose us (Gal 1:15). By His will (Eph 1:1) He had His eye on us and had designs on us (Eph 1:12). Our whole body is an instrument to do what is right for His glory (Rom 6:13).

Day 113 - Monday

HIS WILL

For I have come down from heaven to do the will of God who sent me, not to do my own will.

John 6:38

We shouldn't be concerned with doing things for ourselves (John 8:28). Jesus himself came to do solely God's will (Heb 10:7), as a servant (Rom 15:8). And just like Jesus, we all have to carry out our own servant assignments (1 Cor 3:5).

Day 114 - Tuesday

SPECIAL CALLING

But I have a greater witness than John—my teachings and my miracles. The Father gave me these works to accomplish, and they prove that he sent me.

John 5:36

We must understand what the Lord wants us to do (Eph 5:17). We have a special responsibility (Eph 3:2) that we have been entrusted with (Tit 1:3). We have to lead lives worthy of our calling (Eph 4:1) in service to God’s people (1 Cor 16:15).

Day 115 - Wednesday

CALLING REVEALED

I went there because God revealed to me that I should go. While I was there I met privately with those considered to be leaders of the church and shared with them the message I had been preaching to the Gentiles. I wanted to make sure that we were in agreement, for fear that all my efforts had been wasted and I was running the race for nothing.

Gal 2:2

There are different kinds of service (1 Cor 12:5), and God will reveal His mysterious plan to us (Eph 3:3) at the right time (John 7:6).

Day 116 - Thursday

CALLING WITH GOD

Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me.

John 15:4

A true calling with real results can only be done with God (Acts 10:38); we cannot accomplish anything on our own.

Day 117 - Friday

DIFFERENCE MAKER

You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless.

Matt 5:13

We are here to be salt, to make things better. But if we lose our saltiness and we can't, don't, or won't make things better, then what's the point for us (Mark 9:50)? We must live lives worthy of His calling (2 Thess 1:11).

Day 118 - Saturday

ACTION

For the Kingdom of God is not just a lot of talk; it is living by God’s power.

1 Cor 4:20

We can't just talk; we have to prepare our minds for action (1 Pet 1:13) and then go into action (Philem 1:6) to serve God and others.

Day 119 - Saturday

TWO THINGS

But I have a greater witness than John—my teachings and my miracles. The Father gave me these works to accomplish, and they prove that he sent me.

John 5:36

Jesus was a mighty teacher who did powerful miracles (Luke 24:19), healing the blind, lame, sick, and even raising the dead (Luke 7:22). Over and over, he taught people about the Kingdom of God and healed those who were sick (Luke 9:11). Then, he sent the disciples out to tell everyone about the Kingdom of God and to heal the sick (Luke 9:2). Just as the disciples began their circuit of their villages (Luke 9:6), we too must do the same two things: sharing the Good News and doing good (Matt 4:23) according to our gifts.

Day 120 - Sunday

NOT US, HIM

If your first concern is to look after yourself, you'll never find yourself. But if you forget about yourself and look to me, you'll find both yourself and me.

Matt 10:39

We often desire to achieve the goals we set for ourselves. However, we must relinquish our own desires and embrace the path He has chosen for us (Mark 8:34).

Day 121 - Monday

CALLED TO WORK

No one should seek their own good, but the good of others.

1 Cor 10:24

Even if we are initially uncertain about the specific good work we need to do for others, there is no need to worry. The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few (Matt 9:37), so there is much work to be done. We will discover our path as we move forward.

Day 122 - Tuesday

EQUIPPED

may He equip you with all you need

    for doing His will

Heb 13:21

God has the power to align the stars to provide us with the tools we need to fulfill His will (Matt 2:9). And He grants us the power and authority to carry out His work (Luke 9:1).

Day 123 - Wednesday

NEED NOTHING

“Take nothing for your journey,” he instructed them. “Don’t take a walking stick, a traveler’s bag, food, money, or even a change of clothes

Luke 9:3

At times, we may feel that we are not prepared to do His will or His work, believing that we lack certain things. However, the truth is that we don't need anything specific. We can simply just go and do.

Day 124 - Thursday

LIGHT

You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden.

Matt 5:14

The world is lost in darkness (Matt 9:36). Yet, we are here to be a light (Luke 1:79), guiding others (Matt 5:19). We cannot hide our light (Mark 4:21), nor can it be extinguished (John 1:5).

Day 125 - Friday

NOT THE WORLD

If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it.

Matt 16:25

We must give up our own ways, take up His cross, and follow Him (Matt 16:24). For what good would it be to even gain the whole world, but lose our soul (Matt 16:26)?

Day 126 - Saturday

SERVANT

But among you it will be different. Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant,

Matt 20:26

Jesus as the Son of God, had the right to expect to be served. Rather, he came with a life purpose not to be served, but to serve others (Matt 20:28). So the greatest among ourselves must also be servants (Matt 23:11). We must be faithful  (Col 1:7) and trustworthy servants (1 Tim 1:12), and only then can we be given greater responsibilities (Matt 24:45).

Day 127 - Saturday

WHO TO SERVE

If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them gets lost, what will he do? Won’t he leave the ninety-nine others in the wilderness and go to search for the one that is lost until he finds it?

Luke 15:4

We don't need to serve those who are already well-off and secure. Instead, we need to serve those who are sinful and in need of God (Luke 15:2). Seek them out and serve them.

Day 128 - Sunday

QUANTITY

Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop.

2 Cor 9:6

The level of your commitment to serving God will determine the magnitude of your reward. Be ready to invest significantly and reap the benefits accordingly.

Day 129 - Monday

ASK

When Jesus heard them, he stopped and called, “What do you want me to do for you?

Matt 20:32

If you are uncertain about how to serve others or what they need, don't hesitate to ask them directly.

Day 130 - Tuesday

UNCOMFORTABLE

But Jesus replied, “Foxes have dens to live in, and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place even to lay his head.”

Luke 9:58

Serving God does not mean that we will live in the lap of luxury. In fact, it could very likely mean the exact opposite.

Day 131 - Wednesday

DANGEROUS

Look, I am sending you out as sheep among wolves. So be as shrewd as snakes and harmless as doves.

Matt 10:16

People will try to trick you and get you. Be prepared.

Day 132 - Thursday

NOT EASY

I have a terrible baptism of suffering ahead of me, and I am under a heavy burden until it is accomplished.

Luke 12:50

Jesus' cross was heavy, and he had to carry it by himself (John 19:17). We too must carry our own cross (Luke 14:27).

Day 133 - Friday

DISCOMFORT

But his disciples objected. “Rabbi,” they said, “only a few days ago the people in Judea were trying to stone you. Are you going there again?

John 11:8

The disciples were hungry, thirsty, cold, homeless, beaten, and worked tirelessly to earn a living (1 Cor 4:11-12). Their lives were far from glamorous. How much discomfort are we willing to endure? How hard are we willing to work for Him?

Day 134 - Saturday

WITH GOD

We were crushed and overwhelmed beyond our ability to endure, and we thought we would never live through it. In fact, we expected to die. But as a result, we stopped relying on ourselves and learned to rely only on God,

2 Cor 1:8-9

Even the most determined will eventually get to a point that we can't bear. But with God, we will prevail.

Day 135 - Sunday

STRUGGLE

That’s why I work and struggle so hard, depending on Christ’s mighty power that works within me.

Col 1:29

The road is difficult (Matt 7:14), the work is hard, and it can be a struggle (1 Tim 4:10). It's not just about what we can get from God, but it's about what we are willing to do for Him.

Day 136 - Monday

WORK HARD

Dear friends, you always followed my instructions when I was with you. And now that I am away, it is even more important. Work hard to show the results of your salvation, obeying God with deep reverence and fear.

Phil 2:12

Throw yourself into His work (2 Tim 2:1) with discipline (1 Cor 9:25), all your heart (Rom 1:9), and with patient endurance (Heb 10:36).

Day 137 - Tuesday

SACRIFICE

I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd sacrifices his life for the sheep.

John 10:11

Just as Jesus gave up his life for us (1 John 3:16), many others have also risked their lives (Acts 15:26), been jailed (Acts 20:13), suffered (Rom 8:17), and even died (Acts 1:3) for His sake. Doing His work doesn't mean that we will be richly rewarded in this world. In fact, doing His work very well might come at a sacrifice. Are we prepared to make the necessary sacrifices so that we can do the work that we need to do for Him?

Day 138 - Wednesday

STRONGER

We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance.

Rom 5:3

No one truly enjoys hardship. It's unpleasant and uncomfortable. But when we learn how to endure discomfort, we become stronger. And next time something similar occurs, we know with confidence that we can overcome it.

Day 139 - Thursday

BY FAITH

It was by faith that Abraham obeyed when God called him to leave home and go to another land that God would give him as his inheritance. He went without knowing where he was going.

Heb 11:8

Noah also obeyed God's calling by faith when he built the boat (Heb 11:7). We might not even know exactly what God is calling us for, and that's okay. But if He is calling us to do something, even in just preparation, we must already obey.

Day 140 - Friday

STRENGTH

So we keep on praying for you, asking our God to enable you to live a life worthy of his call. May he give you the power to accomplish all the good things your faith prompts you to do.

2 Thess 1:11

We don't need to wonder if we can do His work, because we know for a fact that He gives us the strength to do His work (1 Tim 1:12).

Day 141 - Saturday

ABILITIES

In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well. So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, speak out with as much faith as God has given you.

Rom 12:6

We all have a special gift from God (1 Cor 7:7). And He has put each skill together just where He wants it (1 Cor 12:18) so that the whole body fits together perfectly, helping each other grow (Eph 4:16).

Day 142 - Sunday

FOR OTHERS

A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other.

1 Cor 12:7

There is a misconception out there that God gave us a gift which we can use for our own benefit. But that gift He gave us, it's not for us. Its to serve others (1 Pet 4:10). He decides what that gift is (1 Cor 12:11) and each gift has a special function (Rom 12:4). We have to recognize what this gift is (Gal 2:9), not neglect it (1 Tim 4:14), and utilize it with all the strength and energy that God supplies (1 Pet 4:11) for the sake of helping others.

Day 143 - Monday

START SMALL

This is a large work I’ve called you into, but don’t be overwhelmed by it. It’s best to start small.

Matt 10:41-42

Looking at God's calling for us, it could be daunting. But don't worry. Start small and just slowly start doing what He asked you to do.

Day 144 - Tuesday

GROW

The master was full of praise. ‘Well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities. Let’s celebrate together!

Matt 25:21

If we are faithful in little things, we will be faithful in large ones (Luke 16:10). Therefore, we must use well what we are given, so that more may be given (Matt 25:29).

Day 145 - Wednesday

TIMING

So from that time on, the Jewish leaders began to plot Jesus’ death. As a result, Jesus stopped his public ministry among the people and left Jerusalem. He went to a place near the wilderness, to the village of Ephraim, and stayed there with his disciples.

John 11:53-54

Jesus knew exactly when it was time for his calling to be answered (John 12:23). We might not know ours exactly, but our calling also has a right time. Let God show it to you.

Day 146 - Thursday

PATIENCE

Jesus said, “You faithless and corrupt people! How long must I be with you and put up with you?” Then he said to the man, “Bring your son here.”

Luke 9:41

Some people might test our patience and might even frustrate us. But no matter what, we must have patience for others.

Day 147 - Friday

Risk

And get rid of this “play-it-safe” who won’t go out on a limb. Throw him out into utter darkness.

Matt 25:30

Serving God means that we have to take action. We have to do something for Him. Not taking action because we don’t want to assume any risk would bring no value to Him because we are not doing anything for Him. We might not know exactly how our service might turn out for Him, but we can’t be afraid to take action.

Day 148 - Saturday

NO FEAR

We have been rescued from our enemies so we can serve God without fear,

Luke 1:74

In our service to God, we might be concerned for our finances (Matt 25:25) or be worried for our safety (Matt 8:24-25). We shouldn’t be reckless, but we also can't be afraid to serve.

Day 149 - Sunday

NOT LAZY

But the master replied, ‘You wicked and lazy servant! If you knew I harvested crops I didn’t plant and gathered crops I didn’t cultivate,

Matt 25:26

If we are lazy, then we will lose even the little responsibility we did have. God will give it to someone else (Matt 25:29).

Day 150 - Monday

CAN'T QUIT

But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God.

Acts 20:24

If we keep our eyes fixed on the one who is invisible, then we can persevere (Heb 11:27).

Day 151 - Tuesday

JUST GO

They immediately followed him, leaving the boat and their father behind.

Matt 4:22

When God calls, there's no need to question; we simply follow (Matt 4:20). And if things don't work out in one place, we move on to the next (Matt 10:23).

Day 152 - Wednesday

LEAVE BEHIND

So you cannot become my disciple without giving up everything you own.

Luke 14:33

Disciples left behind their families (Luke 9:61-62), possessions, and livelihood (Matt 4:22). As we choose to follow God (Luke 18:22), what are we willing to give up?

Day 153 - Thursday

FOCUS

Don’t take any money with you, nor a traveler’s bag, nor an extra pair of sandals. And don’t stop to greet anyone on the road.

Luke 10:4

When we're called and know what we need to do for God, let's not get distracted, take detours, or delay. Stay focused solely on His calling.

Day 154 - Friday

OBEY THE CALLING

And so, King Agrippa, I obeyed that vision from heaven.

Acts 26:19

We must obey God (Heb 11:7) and carry out the ministry He gave us (Col 4:17). By faith (Heb 11:8) we must do exactly what He commands (Matt 1:24), requires us to do (John 14:31).

Day 155 - Saturday

REFUSAL

Remember, it is sin to know what you ought to do and then not do it.

James 4:17

Knowing what we're supposed to do but not being prepared to do it or refusing to do it will have consequences (Luke 12:47).

Day 156 - Sunday

DIRECTIONS

So the disciples did as Jesus told them and prepared the Passover meal there.

Matt 26:19

God might ask us to do something that may not make sense to us (John 21:6) or something that might seem too far-fetched for us (Matt 17:27). But no matter what, we must listen and do it His way (Luke 5:5), and we must have full faith that it will work out just as He says (Mark 14:16).

Day 157 - Monday

NOW

The man replied, “The one who showed him mercy.” Then Jesus said, “Yes, now go and do the same.”

Luke 10:37

We must not delay answering our calling. Instead, we should begin doing good now (Luke 10:3). It's not enough to speak of loving others; we must demonstrate our love through actions (1 John 3:18). We must give our full attention to these matters (1 Tim 4:15).

Day 158 - Tuesday

HIS VIEW

Jesus turned around and looked at his disciples, then reprimanded Peter. “Get away from me, Satan!” he said. “You are seeing things merely from a human point of view, not from God’s.”

Mark 8:33

Sometimes, from our limited perspective, things may not make sense. However, God has the complete picture and knows exactly what needs to happen. We must trust that His plan is always better than ours, as His plan is perfect.

Day 159 - Wednesday

NO FUNDS NEEDED

Don’t think you have to put on a fund-raising campaign before you start. You don’t need a lot of equipment. You are the equipment, and all you need to keep that going is three meals a day. Travel light.

Matt 10:9-10

Serving God does not necessitate a specific amount of money. In fact, we can serve Him with very little, even just the clothes on our back.

Day 160 - Thursday

MODEST LIVING

When you enter a town or village, don’t insist on staying in a luxury inn. Get a modest place with some modest people, and be content there until you leave.

Matt 10:11

We cannot and should not be spending money excessively on indulging ourselves when it comes to serving God. We should carry out God's work in a modest and humble manner.

Day 161 - Friday

FOLLOWED

Then Jesus returned to Galilee, filled with the Holy Spirit’s power. Reports about him spread quickly through the whole region.

Luke 4:14

A large crowd followed Jesus (Matt 20:29) from all over (Mark 3:7) for his preaching (Acts 13:42) and good works in healing (Acts 5:15). People found out where he was going and kept following him wherever he went (John 6:2).

Day 162 - Saturday

ELSEWHERE

Then Jesus told them, “A prophet is honored everywhere except in his own hometown and among his relatives and his own family.

Mark 6:4

Family and the local people can take you for granted (Matt 13:58). They might refuse to believe you (Mark 6:3) or accept you (Luke 4:24). You may need to share God's Word and do His good works elsewhere.

Day 163 - Sunday

COSERVERS

The one who plants and the one who waters work together with the same purpose. And both will be rewarded for their own hard work.

1 Cor 3:8

As believers, we need to be united in heart, mind (Acts 4:32), and purpose (Phil 2:2). We have different roles and responsibilities, which is beneficial, as we cannot all do the exact same thing (1 Cor 12:17). No one is more or less important than the other in serving God (1 Cor 12:16). We all must work together (2 Cor 1:24).

Day 164 - Monday

OTHERS FIRST

I, too, try to please everyone in everything I do. I don’t just do what is best for me; I do what is best for others so that many may be saved.

1 Cor 10:33

We often think of ourselves first. However, God asks us to prioritize the interests of others before our own.

Day 165 - Tuesday

ACCOUNTABILITY

The apostles returned to Jesus from their ministry tour and told him all they had done and taught.

Mark 6:30

Disciples joyfully reported everything God had done through them (Luke 10:17; Acts 14:27). Do we give an account to God?

Day 166 - Wednesday

BY TWOS

So the two disciples went into the city and found everything just as Jesus had said, and they prepared the Passover meal there.

Mark 14:16

Jesus sent out his disciples in pairs. Who are you partnering with?

Day 167 - Thursday

FOREVER

We have been rescued from our enemies so we can serve God without fear, in holiness and righteousness for as long as we live.

Luke 1:74-75

Serving God is not a temporary commitment; it is a lifelong calling.

Day 168 - Friday

DON'T DESERT

Jesus told them, All of you will desert me.

Mark 14:27

Even the disciples deserted Jesus and ran away, all of them (Mark 14:50). We simply cannot forsake Him.

Day 169 - Saturday

DON'T DELAY

We must quickly carry out the tasks assigned us by the one who sent us. The night is coming, and then no one can work.

John 9:4

We must be able to recognize what God wants from us and respond to it quickly (Rom 12:2) with eagerness and enthusiasm (2 Cor 8:22).

Day 170 - Sunday

RewardED

will be repaid many times over in this life, and will have eternal life in the world to come

Luke 18:30

If we are seeking true satisfaction in life, God offers it as a reward for a job well done (1 Cor 3:8). Hard work (1 Cor 3:8) is compensated with good wages (John 4:36), and great rewards (Luke 6:35).

DISCIPLING

We are all called to partake in the great commission. This is God's call for us to spread the Good News of salvation to everyone around the world. We are called to serve in all the nations.

Once we discern where God wants us to serve Him, it is best to obey. And in those places, we will teach others how to live Godly lives.

Day 171 - Monday

DISCIPLING

But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God.

Acts 20:24

We have a responsibility (Luke 9:60) to spread His Good News (Eph 3:7) of how to be saved (Acts 16:17) throughout the entire world (Matt 24:14). So, go (Acts 28:26) and begin making disciples (Acts 26:16).

Day 172 - Tuesday

GREAT COMMISSION

Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Matt 28:19

Jesus told the disciples to go into the whole world and proclaim the Good News to everyone (Mark 1:15). This was not a suggestion, but a directive (Acts 10:42). The task is not an easy one (2 Cor 5:11), and it should not be disregarded or taken lightly.

Day 173 - Wednesday

SHORTFALLS

You were born a total sinner!” they answered. “Are you trying to teach us?” And they threw him out of the synagogue.

John 9:34

It's important to remember that nobody is perfect. However, we can and must still share His Word, even if we have made mistakes in the past.

Day 174 - Thursday

AMBASSADORS

I am in chains now, still preaching this message as God’s ambassador. So pray that I will keep on speaking boldly for him, as I should.

Eph 6:20

Our message does not originate from us, but from God (John 7:16). We serve as ambassadors for Jesus, conveying His message to others (2 Cor 5:20).

Day 175 - Friday

SENT OUT

And he called his twelve disciples together and began sending them out two by two, giving them authority to cast out evil spirits.

Mark 6:7

Jesus sent out the disciples (Mark 3:14) two by two (Luke 10:1) to spread His Word everywhere. We should allow God to work through us in a similar manner.

Day 176 - Saturday

ENABLED

He has enabled us to be ministers of his new covenant. This is a covenant not of written laws, but of the Spirit. The old written covenant ends in death; but under the new covenant, the Spirit gives life.

2 Cor 3:6

It's natural to occasionally question whether we can fulfill what He asks of us. However, we can find assurance in the fact that He has equipped us to carry out His calling.

Day 177 - Sunday

UNIFIED

The goal is for all of them to become one heart and mind

John 17:21

We all have distinct roles to play. One person may lay the foundation, while another builds upon it (1 Cor 3:10), or one may plant and another may harvest (John 4:37). However, the key is that we are united in spreading the Good News (Phil 1:5).

Day 178 - Monday

JESUS DISCIPLED

Later on, after John was arrested, Jesus went into Galilee, where he preached God’s Good News.

Mark 1:14

Just as Jesus preached God's Word (Mark 2:2), we too must do the same.

Day 179 - Tuesday

DISCIPLES

Paul and Barnabas stayed in Antioch. They and many others taught and preached the word of the Lord there.

Acts 15:35

In the same manner that Jesus and the disciples taught God's Word, we should also dedicate ourselves to the task of making disciples.

Day 180 - Wednesday

WE MUST

Yet preaching the Good News is not something I can boast about. I am compelled by God to do it. How terrible for me if I didn’t preach the Good News!

1 Cor 9:16

If we acknowledge Him here on earth, He will acknowledge us in Heaven (Matt 10:32).

Day 181 - Thursday

NOT AFRAID

But don’t be afraid of those who threaten you. For the time is coming when everything that is covered will be revealed, and all that is secret will be made known to all.

Matt 10:26

We will go out and disciple among naysayers. But don't worry about them. They will be proven wrong soon enough.

Day 182 - Friday

HARD WORK

Dear brothers and sisters, honor those who are your leaders in the Lord’s work. They work hard among you and give you spiritual guidance.

1 Thess 5:12

Every day (Acts 5:42), we must endure all things to fulfill our mission of bringing salvation to others (2 Tim 2:10).

Day 183 - Saturday

EVERYTHING

I do everything to spread the Good News and share in its blessings.

1 Cor 9:23

As disciples, we must reflect on the sacrifices made by those who have suffered (2 Tim 1:8), to include being in chains while spreading the Good News (Philem 1:13). The question then arises: what are we willing to endure to share His Word?

Day 184 - Sunday

EVERY DAY

Every day Jesus went to the Temple to teach, and each evening he returned to spend the night on the Mount of Olives.

Luke 21:37

Jesus and the disciples demonstrated a consistent commitment to teaching others (1 Tim 4:13) daily (Matt 26:55) over extended periods, dedicating months (Acts 19:8) and years (Acts 19:10) to His mission.

Day 185 - Monday

TEACH

After dark one evening, he came to speak with Jesus. “Rabbi,” he said, “we all know that God has sent you to teach us. Your miraculous signs are evidence that God is with you.”

John 3:2

We are called to teach the Word of God (2 Tim 4:2) to the crowds (Mark 2:13) with conviction (Titus 2:15), guiding them on how to live Godly lives (Titus 1:1).

Day 186 - Tuesday

EVERYWHERE

I tell you the truth, wherever the Good News is preached throughout the world, this woman’s deed will be remembered and discussed.”

Mark 14:9

Our mission is to travel from city to city (Mark 6:6) and along the way (Acts 8:40) spreading the knowledge (2 Cor 2:14) of His Message, ensuring that it reaches far and wide.

Day 187 - Wednesday

CHURCHES

Later, as Jesus was teaching the people in the Temple, he asked, “Why do the teachers of religious law claim that the Messiah is the son of David?

Mark 12:35

Jesus consistently preached the Word of God (Acts 13:5) on a daily basis (Luke 19:47), and regularly on Sundays in the synagogues (Luke 4:31).

Day 188 - Thursday

CAREFUL

Keep a close watch on how you live and on your teaching. Stay true to what is right for the sake of your own salvation and the salvation of those who hear you.

1 Tim 4:16

It's certainly tempting to stray from the righteous path, but we must remain steadfast. Our lives and teachings should be wholly rooted in His Way, serving as a guiding light for others.

Day 189 - Friday

DON'T DELAY

And immediately he began preaching about Jesus in the synagogues, saying, “He is indeed the Son of God!”

Acts 9:20

While our lives may be filled with busyness, we must not delay in fulfilling God's will. Prioritizing His commands ensures that we remain in alignment with His divine plan.

Day 190 - Saturday

PARABLES

Then Jesus began teaching them with stories

Mark 12:1

We can effectively teach by employing parables (Mark 4:34) and drawing relatable examples from our contemporary everyday lives (Gal 3:15), making the Word of God more accessible and meaningful to those we teach.

Day 191 - Sunday

SIMPLE

Preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching.

2 Tim 4:2

Though the task of discipling the world may seem daunting, we must remember to keep it simple. By patiently correcting, rebuking, and encouraging others, we fulfill our role, and fully trust in God to take care of the rest.

Day 192 - Monday

ALL NATIONS

For the Good News must first be preached to all nations.

Mark 13:10

Our mission is to make disciples of all nations (Matt 28:19), spreading the Word of God throughout the world (Mark 14:9), reaching the farthest corners of the earth (Acts 13:47), where no one else is working (2 Cor 10:16), and bringing the name of Christ to those who have never heard it (Rom 15:20).

Day 193 - Tuesday

HE GUIDES

Next Paul and Silas traveled through the area of Phrygia and Galatia, because the Holy Spirit had prevented them from preaching the word in the province of Asia at that time. Then coming to the borders of Mysia, they headed north for the province of Bithynia, but again the Spirit of Jesus did not allow them to go there. So instead, they went on through Mysia to the seaport of Troas.

Acts 16:6-8

God is omniscient and has a divine plan for each of us, guiding us towards what we need to be doing, when, and where, ensuring that our actions align with His will.

Day 194 - Wednesday

APPROACH

His message was simple and austere, like his desert surroundings: “Change your life. God’s kingdom is here.”

Matt 3:2

No clever speeches are necessary (1 Cor 1:17); He directs us on what to say and how to say it (John 12:49). We simply need to quote Him (1 Cor 4:6), allowing His Word to guide our teachings.

Day 195 - Thursday

TO WHO

Now go out to the street corners and invite everyone you see.

Matt 22:9

Our mission is to bring the message of God to everyone, from the least to the greatest (Acts 26:22), the educated and uneducated (Acts 1:14), the notorious sinner (Luke 19:7), the sick (Mark 2:17), and the poor (Matt 11:5). In doing so, we share His love and grace with all, regardless of their backgrounds or circumstances.

Day 196 - Friday

WHEN

Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it.

1 Pet 3:15

We must be prepared to share the Word of God at all times, whether it's convenient or not (2 Tim 4:2). This commitment extends beyond Sundays (Acts 18:4), encompassing daily interactions (Acts 17:17), late-night discussions (Acts 20:7), as we devote our time (Acts 18:5) to fulfilling His calling.

Day 197 - Saturday

RIGHT WORDS

When you are arrested, don’t worry about how to respond or what to say. God will give you the right words at the right time.

Matt 10:19

Our talk does not need to be clever, persuasive (1 Cor 2:4), or lofty (1 Cor 2:1). Instead, it should be gracious and attractive (Col 4:6), and it can be bold (Eph 6:19), allowing the truth and power of God's Word to resonate with those we engage.

Day 198 - Sunday

ACCURACY

Teach the truth so that your teaching can’t be criticized. Then those who oppose us will be ashamed and have nothing bad to say about us.

Titus 2:8

We must stop those who teach what is contrary to the truth (1 Tim 1:3) and false doctrines (Gal 5:9). When teaching, we should avoid exaggeration, focusing on sharing the truth (1 Tim 2:7) with accuracy (Acts 18:25).

Day 199 - Monday

RESPONSABILITY

If anyone suffers eternal death, it’s not my fault, for I didn’t shrink from declaring all that God wants you to know.

Acts 20:26

Unfortunately, not everyone will welcome the Good News (Rom 10:16). However, our responsibility is to share His message; even if they don't listen, our task is complete, and we can move on to share with others (Mark 6:11).

Day 200 - Tuesday

NOT ASHAMED

So never be ashamed to tell others about our Lord. And don’t be ashamed of me, either, even though I’m in prison for him. With the strength God gives you, be ready to suffer with me for the sake of the Good News.

2 Tim 1:8

We should never be ashamed of God, His message (Mark 8:38), nor His other disciples (2 Tim 1:16).

Day 201 - Wednesday

AUTHORITY

The people were amazed at his teaching, for he taught with real authority—quite unlike the teachers of religious law.

Mark 1:22

Just as Jesus spoke with authority and captivated His listeners (Mark 1:27), God has also empowered us to share His message with conviction and confidence (Rom 1:5).

Day 202 - Thursday

POWER

One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision and told him, “Don’t be afraid! Speak out! Don’t be silent!

Acts 18:9

We can boldly proclaim the Good News with courage (1 Thes 2:2) and power (Acts 14:1).

Day 203 - Friday

SELFLESSLY

Care for the flock that God has entrusted to you. Watch over it willingly, not grudgingly—not for what you will get out of it, but because you are eager to serve God.

1 Pet 5:2

It's essential that our intentions remain sincere (Phil 1:15) as we share God's Word, focusing not on personal gain but on the benefit of others (2 Cor 4:5).

Day 204 - Saturday

EAGERNESS

He had been taught the way of the Lord, and he taught others about Jesus with an enthusiastic spirit and with accuracy. However, he knew only about John’s baptism.

Acts 18:25

We should always be enthusiastic about engaging in His work (Rom 1:15).

Day 205 - Sunday

SINCERITY

We reject all shameful deeds and underhanded methods. We don’t try to trick anyone or distort the word of God. We tell the truth before God, and all who are honest know this.

2 Cor 4:2

It's crucial to maintain a clear conscience (1 Pet 3:16) and teach with sincerity (2 Cor 2:17), avoiding any teaching that stems from jealousy, rivalry (Phil 1:15), or making up clever stories (2 Pet 1:16). Our instruction should never be tainted by deceit, impure motives, or trickery (1 Thes 2:3).

Day 206 - Monday

BOLDLY

And now, O Lord, hear their threats, and give us, your servants, great boldness in preaching your word.

Acts 4:29

When sharing the Word of God, we must do so with confidence (2 Cor 3:12) and boldness (Acts 4:31), never allowing fear to hinder our message (Phil 1:14).

Day 207 - Tuesday

GENTLE

Gently instruct those who oppose the truth. Perhaps God will change those people’s hearts, and they will learn the truth.

2 Tim 2:25

It's our responsibility to guide others with gentleness and respect, always mindful of maintaining a clear conscience (1 Peter 3:16).

Day 208 - Wednesday

WITNESS

For you are to be his witness, telling everyone what you have seen and heard.

Acts 22:15

We should boldly share with others the wonderful works God has accomplished for us (Mark 5:20).

Day 209 - Thursday

DIFFICULT

But before all this occurs, there will be a time of great persecution. You will be dragged into synagogues and prisons, and you will stand trial before kings and governors because you are my followers. But this will be your opportunity to tell them about me.

Luke 21:12-13

Sharing the Good News can be a demanding task, involving restless efforts (2 Cor 7:5) and hard work (Phil 4:3). Some have faced severe consequences, including beatings (Mark 13:9) and imprisonment (Acts 28:20) for their commitment to this mission.

Day 210 - Friday

FALSE TEACHERS

Let God’s curse fall on anyone, including us or even an angel from heaven, who preaches a different kind of Good News than the one we preached to you.

Gal 1:8

False teachers (2 Pet 2:12) are often characterized by their arrogance and lack of understanding (1 Tim 6:4). These individuals are subject to God’s judgment (Gal 5:10), and their eventual destruction is foretold (2 Pet 2:13).

Day 211 - Saturday

DISCERNING

If anyone comes to your meeting and does not teach the truth about Christ, don’t invite that person into your home or give any kind of encouragement. Anyone who encourages such people becomes a partner in their evil work.

2 John 1:10-11

Exercise caution to ensure you do not inadvertently support or engage in any form of idolatry (Acts 17:16).

Day 212 - Sunday

CORRECT

I have already warned those who had been sinning when I was there on my second visit. Now I again warn them and all others, just as I did before, that next time I will not spare them.

2 Cor 13:2

It is not our place to judge; that role belongs to God. However, this does not absolve us of our duty to correct, rebuke, and encourage others (2 Cor 4:2). Our aim should be to build them up and not tear them down (2 Cor 13:10).

Day 213 - Monday

MOVE ON

If any household or town refuses to welcome you or listen to your message, shake its dust from your feet as you leave.

Matt 10:14

If an individual chooses not to heed His Message, we are not held accountable for their decision. Our responsibility lies in spreading God's Word. Should they continue to refuse to listen, it is appropriate and necessary for us to proceed with our mission elsewhere.

Day 214 - Tuesday

NO VIOLENCE

When James and John saw this, they said to Jesus, “Lord, should we call down fire from heaven to burn them up?” But Jesus turned and rebuked them.

Luke 9:54-55

Jesus was not a dangerous revolutionary (Mark 14:48). He explicitly rejected violence (John 18:11).

Day 215 - Wednesday

UNSTOPPABLE

And because I preach this Good News, I am suffering and have been chained like a criminal. But the word of God cannot be chained.

2 Tim 2:9

The Word of God is unstoppable, and we have the privilege and responsibility to be instruments in its dissemination.

Day 216 - Thursday

PLEASED

And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, “How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!”

Rom 10:15

As we strive to produce spiritual fruit (Rom 1:13), God will be pleased with our efforts, and we can look forward to heavenly rewards (1 Thess 2:19).

DO GOOD

The second part of loving others is demonstrated through doing good. By doing good, in caring and helping others, we fulfill our calling as we extend our support to those around us.

We are called to do good and produce good fruit, not for our own benefit, but for the glory of God.

Day 217 - Friday

Do good

For God called you to do good, even if it means suffering, just as Christ suffered for you. He is your example, and you must follow in his steps.

1 Pet 2:21

As Jesus consistently performed acts of kindness, such as healing the sick, we too are called to do good (1 Pet 3:11). It is our responsibility to engage in these acts (Matt 6:3), and we must remain steadfast in our commitment to doing good (Tit 2:14).

Verse 220 - Wednesday

Faith and works

You see, his faith and his actions worked together. His actions made his faith complete.

James 2:22

Engaging in acts of goodness serves as evidence of genuine faith (Acts 26:20). Conversely, a lack of good works can be indicative of an absence of faith (James 2:26).

Verse 221 - Thursday

Always

Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone—especially to those in the family of faith.

Gal 6:10

Devote yourself (Titus 3:8) to consistently doing good (1 Thes 5:15). Never become weary in this pursuit (2 Thes 3:13), for it has been God's plan for us from the beginning (Eph 2:10).

Verse 222 - Friday

Work Examples

And you know that God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. Then Jesus went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.

Acts 10:38

We can share (Heb 13:16) and contribute to the needs of others (Titus 3:14). We can also take care of orphans and widows (James 1:27). Whenever we help others, it is as if we helped Jesus (Matt 25:40).

Verse 223 - Saturday

To who

And if you do good only to those who do good to you, why should you get credit? Even sinners do that much!

Luke 6:33

If we only do good to those who we believe will reciprocate, that's not truly doing good for others but rather for ourselves. Instead, we should do good to the poor, the crippled, the lame, and the blind (Luke 14:13). Moreover, we should extend our kindness even to our enemies (Rom 12:20), and to those who hate us (Luke 6:27).

Verse 224 - Sunday

Heal

Heal the sick, and tell them, ‘The Kingdom of God is near you now.

Luke 10:9

Jesus healed people repeatedly (Mark 1:34). Although not everyone possesses the gift of healing, some can heal others mentally, emotionally, or physically (Matt 4:24). Those who have this ability, should use it to help others.

Verse 225 - Monday

Credit God

When you give to someone in need, don’t do as the hypocrites do—blowing trumpets in the synagogues and streets to call attention to their acts of charity! I tell you the truth, they have received all the reward they will ever get.

Matt 6:2

Whenever we help someone publicly (Matt 5:16), we must ensure that we give all credit to God (1 Cor 10:31), so others will give glory to God (2 Cor 9:13) and not to us.

Verse 226 - Tuesday

Fruit

You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name.

John 15:16

By learning to do good and meeting the urgent needs of others (Titus 3:14), we can produce every kind of good fruit (Col 1:10).

Verse 227 - Wednesday

Tree

A tree is identified by its fruit. If a tree is good, its fruit will be good. If a tree is bad, its fruit will be bad.

Matt 12:33

A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot produce good fruit (Luke 6:43). Eventually, what is in one's heart will come to light, whether it is good or evil (Matt 12:35).

Verse 228 - Thursday

Necessary Fruit

Even now the ax of God’s judgment is poised, ready to sever the roots of the trees. Yes, every tree that does not produce good fruit will be chopped down and thrown into the fire.

Matt 3:10

Fruit does not have to be produced immediately, but if there is no fruit year after year, that tree will become unnecessary (Luke 13:6-7).

Verse 229 - Friday

Result

Don’t be misled—you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant.

Gal 6:7

There are no shortcuts or quick fixes. Ultimately, we reap what we sow.

Verse 230 - Saturday

Help Others

Share each other’s burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ.

Gal 6:2

Life presents numerous challenges, but instead of tearing each other down, let's focus on building each other up (Rom 14:19). While we may not be able to help everyone, we should never be too busy or too self-important to assist someone in need who is right next to us (Gal 6:3).

Verse 231 - Sunday

Not Easy

For God called you to do good, even if it means suffering, just as Christ suffered for you. He is your example, and you must follow in his steps.

1 Pet 2:21

Doing good does not guarantee that everything will be enjoyable or effortless. It often requires hard work, may involve sacrifices (Heb 13:16), can be inconvenient (Matt 14:13-14), and, for some, might even lead to suffering (1 Peter 3:17).

Verse 232 - Monday

Don’t Quit

So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.

Gal 6:9

While doing good can be challenging, we should never become so exhausted that we stop making an effort to do good.

Verse 233 - Tuesday

Rewarded

And if you give even a cup of cold water to one of the least of my followers, you will surely be rewarded.

Matt 10:42

Rest assured, God always takes notice of your good works (Heb 6:10). In His perfect timing (Gal 6:9), He will undoubtedly  acknowledge and reward your good deeds (Luke 14:14).

Marriage

Marriage is a significant element in the lives of almost all individuals. And of course the Bible provides guidance on how this relationship should function.

Although this section is concise and directly addresses marriage, there are numerous forthcoming verses that are more general in nature and applicable to all relationships. Many of those verses should also be taken into consideration in the context of marriage.

Verse 234 - Wednesday

Marriage

This explains why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one

Mark 10:7

Every man should be joined in matrimony with his own wife, and likewise, every woman with her own husband (1 Cor 7:2).

Verse 235 - Thursday

Submission and love

And further, submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.

Eph 5:21

Yes, wives are called to submit to their husbands. However, it is equally important for husbands to love their wives, just as Christ loved the church and even gave Himself up for her (Eph 5:25), a mutual responsibility in marriage.

Verse 236 - Friday

Marriage

If you love your father or mother more than you love me, you are not worthy of being mine; or if you love your son or daughter more than me, you are not worthy of being mine.

Matt 10:37

In a marriage, while we deeply love and cherish our children, honor our parents, and support each other as spouses, our primary allegiance and love must be directed towards God first. This foundational principle is crucial for fostering a healthy family dynamic, where all relationships are enriched by placing God at the forefront.

Verse 237 - Saturday

Faithful

Give honor to marriage, and remain faithful to one another in marriage. God will surely judge people who are immoral and those who commit adultery.

Heb 13:4

In the sacred union of marriage, the unwavering dedication to one another through mutual faithfulness is a paramount principle for a strong and enduring bond between husband and wife.

Wisdom

We all want to live wisely as we navigate our time here on earth. But from where do we get our wisdom from? Who should we listen to? Can we rely on their guidance? Are their words reliable and truthful?

One source of wisdom in which we can place unwavering trust is the wisdom we receive from God. It is a constant and unwavering truth, unaffected by the ever-changing world.

Therefore, it is crucial that we seek wisdom from God, strive to understand it, and then implement it into our lives.

Verse 238 - Sunday

God’s Wisdom

In him lie hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

Col 2:3

Our God, with His boundless wisdom (Col 2:3), is capable of imparting upon us the divine gift of wisdom (Eph 1:8) as we turn to Him for direction in our lives.

Verse 239 - Monday

Live wisely

And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God,

Titus 2:12

Instead of living recklessly in folly, we should strive to live intentionally and with wisdom, making the most of our time (Eph 5:15).

Verse 240 - Tuesday

Know it

I want you to remember what the holy prophets said long ago and what our Lord and Savior commanded through your apostles.

2 Pet 3:2

Becoming a new believer does not necessitate an immediate mastery of Scripture. However, it is essential to dedicate time to studying and understanding the Bible in order to deepen our faith and knowledge (Acts 18:24).

Verse 241 - Wednesday

Ask for wisdom

asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you spiritual wisdom and insight so that you might grow in your knowledge of God.

Eph 1:17

Who wouldn't desire greater wisdom? Our gracious God is ready to impart more wisdom to those who ask (James 1:5). So, it only makes sense to seek His guidance and understanding.

Verse 242 - Thursday

Listen

Then he added, Pay close attention to what you hear. The closer you listen, the more understanding you will be given—and you will receive even more.

Mark 4:24

We should pay close attention (2 Pet 1:19) and listen very carefully (Heb 2:1). We must be quick to listen (Jam 1:19) to every word (Luke 19:48) so that we can put it into practice (Luke 11:28).

Verse 243 - Friday

Insight

asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you spiritual wisdom and insight so that you might grow in your knowledge of God.

Eph 1:17

One of the most important things we can do is to seek insight, which will help us grow in our knowledge of God and His divine plan for us  (Eph 3:4).

Verse 244 - Saturday

Understanding

Don’t act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do.

Eph 5:17

It is essential that we continuously grow in understanding (Phil 1:9) of the truth (Col 1:6). The more we understand God and His teachings, the clearer our path becomes, guiding us towards what we need to do in our lives.

Verse 245 - Sunday

Information

Having carefully investigated everything from the beginning, I also have decided to write an accurate account for you, most honorable Theophilus, so you can be certain of the truth of everything you were taught.

Luke 1:3-4

We need not wonder where to find true and accurate information, for the Bible serves as a comprehensive and reliable source of knowledge and guidance.

Verse 246 - Monday

Teaching

Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise…anyone who hears my teaching and doesn’t obey it is foolish

Matt 7:24, 26

Do we invest the time to pay close attention to the lessons and teachings God imparts upon us? And when we do listen, do we follow His guidance? It is crucial that we dedicate time and effort to heed His wisdom, for it distinguishes between wisdom and foolishness.

Verse 247 - Tuesday

Not worldly

Yet when I am among mature believers, I do speak with words of wisdom, but not the kind of wisdom that belongs to this world or to the rulers of this world, who are soon forgotten.

1 Cor 2:6

When we search for wisdom, do we turn to worldly sources or to God (Gal 1:12)? The lessons we must learn are not rooted in mere human reasoning (Gal 1:11), but rather in divine guidance and understanding.

Verse 248 - Wednesday

From God

the Lord in his mercy has given me wisdom that can be trusted, and I will share it with you.

1 Cor 7:25

True wisdom originates from God (Col 3:16).

Verse 249 - Thursday

God’s Word

All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.

2 Tim 3:16-17

We don’t need to wonder how God imparts His wisdom, as it is clearly provided through His Word, the Bible (2 Tim 3:15). His Word is living and powerful, capable of revealing profound truths about ourselves (Heb 4:12). Engaging with His Word is as essential to our spiritual sustenance as daily food is to our physical well-being (Matt 4:2).

Verse 250 - Friday

Test

but test everything that is said. Hold on to what is good.

1 Thes 5:21

It is essential that we scrutinize the claims of others (Rev 2:2) to discern the difference between truth and falsehood (1 John 2:21).

Verse 251 - Saturday

Study

there the child grew up healthy and strong. He was filled with wisdom, and God’s favor was on him.

Luke 2:40

Just as Jesus grew in wisdom by listening and asking questions from teachers (Luke 2:46), we too must strive for growth in wisdom (Luke 2:52) and knowledge (2 Pet 3:18) to discern right from wrong (Heb 5:14).

Verse 252 - Sunday

Wise

None of them could stand against the wisdom and the Spirit with which Stephen spoke.

Acts 6:10

While it's true that we may never have all the answers (1 Cor 8:2), it is wise to strive for wisdom and understanding to the best of our abilities.

Verse 253 - Monday

Not knowing

Jesus replied, “Your mistake is that you don’t know the Scriptures, and you don’t know the power of God.

Matt 22:29

Some desire to teach without knowing what they are talking about (1 Tim 1:7), which is a mistake. It is essential to invest time in reading and genuinely understanding the Word of God.

Verse 254 - Tuesday

Formal Education

The people were surprised when they heard him. “How does he know so much when he hasn’t been trained?” they asked.

John 7:15

While it is crucial for us to thoroughly understand the Word of God through personal study, a formal education in religious studies is not necessarily required.

Verse 255 - Wednesday

Open Mind

Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures.

Luke 24:45

Approaching the Word of God with an open mind, genuinely seeking to understand His instructions, is a fundamental step towards gaining knowledge and insight.

Verse 256 - Thursday

Think

Think carefully about what is right, and stop sinning. For to your shame I say that some of you don’t know God at all.

1 Cor 15:34

In our fast-paced world, it's crucial to pause and reflect (Rom 12:2). By thoughtfully considering what is right and wrong (2 Pet 3:1), we can discern the path we should follow.

Verse 257 - Friday

ClearHeaded

But you should keep a clear mind in every situation. Don’t be afraid of suffering for the Lord. Work at telling others the Good News, and fully carry out the ministry God has given you.

2 Tim 4:5

Let us live clearheadedly (1 Thes 5:8) with an unhindered alert mind.

Verse 258 - Saturday

Everyone

Tax collectors and other notorious sinners often came to listen to Jesus teach.

Luke 15:1

Wisdom is not exclusive to a privileged group; it is available to all, regardless of wealth, education, or social status. Everyone should seek God's wisdom.

Verse 259 - Sunday

One teacher

And don’t let anyone call you ‘Teacher,’ for you have only one teacher, the Messiah.

Matt 23:10

As we help others in comprehending how to lead Godly lives, let us remember that all true teachings come from God, our ultimate and sole teacher.

Verse 260 - Monday

Fooled

I am shocked that you are turning away so soon from God, who called you to himself through the loving mercy of Christ. You are following a different way that pretends to be the Good News but is not the Good News at all. You are being fooled by those who deliberately twist the truth concerning Christ.

Gal 1:6-7

It's unfortunate that there are false prophets (2 Pet 2:1) in our midst. As we pursue wisdom, we must remain vigilant to avoid being deceived by their falsehoods.

Verse 261 - Tuesday

Today’s words

To what can I compare the people of this generation? Jesus asked. How can I describe them?

Luke 7:31

Just as Jesus taught his people in a way that was relevant to their time, we too must teach those around us in a manner that is understandable and relatable to the current generation.

Verse 262 - Wednesday

Hold Firmly

With all these things in mind, dear brothers and sisters, stand firm and keep a strong grip on the teaching we passed on to you both in person and by letter.

2 Thes 2:15

Embrace the Word of life (Phil 2:16) with unwavering conviction, for it is our ultimate source of wisdom.

Verse 263- Thursday

Follow Wisdom

But wisdom is shown to be right by the lives of those who follow it.

Luke 7:35

Merely acquiring wisdom is insufficient; we must follow its teachings (1 Cor 11:2) and remain faithful to what we have learned (2 Tim 3:14).

Verse 264 - Friday

Result

The Son of Man, on the other hand, feasts and drinks, and you say, ‘He’s a glutton and a drunkard, and a friend of tax collectors and other sinners! But wisdom is shown to be right by its results.

Matt 11:19

Eventually, the presence or absence of wisdom will be evident through the outcomes it produces.

Verse 265 - Saturday

Responsibility

God also gave Joseph unusual wisdom, so that Pharaoh appointed him governor over all of Egypt and put him in charge of the palace.

Acts 7:10

As our wisdom increases, so too may our responsibilities.

Verse 266 - Sunday

Grow

Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, you will grow as you learn to know God better and better.

Col 1:10

At first, we were not ready for more advanced concepts (1 Cor 3:2), but eventually, we must progress beyond the fundamentals (Heb 6:1) and continuously expand our knowledge and understanding (Phl 1:9).

Verse 267 - Monday

Misled

I am telling you this so no one will deceive you with well-crafted arguments.

Col 2:4

The evil one seeks to deceive the world (Rev 12:9), but we shall not be swayed by cunning falsehoods that masquerade as truth (Eph 4:14). We will remain steadfast and not be led astray (1 John 2:26).

Verse 268 - Tuesday

Human Wisdom

For the wisdom of this world is foolishness to God. As the Scriptures say, “He traps the wise in the snare of their own cleverness.”

1 Cor 3:19

Human wisdom (2 Cor 1:12), often filled with hollow philosophies and high-sounding nonsense  (Col 2:8), pales in comparison to even the most elementary plan devised by God (1 Cor 1:25).

Verse 269 - Wednesday

Know-it-alls

As the Scriptures say, “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise and discard the intelligence of the intelligent.” So where does this leave the philosophers, the scholars, and the world’s brilliant debaters? God has made the wisdom of this world look foolish.

1 Cor 1:19-20

Some boast of their wisdom, but in reality, they are nothing more than fools (Rom 1:22), serving as blind guides (Matt 23:16) who attempt to lead others despite lacking vision themselves (Luke 6:39). Yet, God discerns the true character of these self-proclaimed experts (1 Cor 3:20).

Verse 270 - Thursday

Not understand

He replied, “You are permitted to understand the secrets of the Kingdom of God. But I use parables to teach the others so that the Scriptures might be fulfilled: ‘When they look, they won’t really see. When they hear, they won’t understand.

Luke 8:10

Even when people hear His Word, if they fail to truly listen, they will not grasp its meaning (Matt 13:13). Some may believe themselves to be wise and cleaver (Luke 10:21), yet they are confounded and become foolish. To those who have strayed, His message may appear foolish (1 Cor 1:18).

Verse 271 - Friday

Not Listening

So pay attention to how you hear. To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given. But for those who are not listening, even what they think they understand will be taken away from them.

Luke 8:18

Those who refuse to listen (Heb 12:25) and those who deliberately forget (2 Pet 3:5) will not comprehend (John 8:43).

Godly Traits

The following are desirable traits, characteristics and behaviors rooted in Godly living. While we should strive to embody these traits, it is crucial to understand that this is not a checklist or a pass-fail test. There is not a set number of traits we must attain that would make us right enough.

Instead, as we navigate our daily lives, the question we must ask ourselves is whether we choose to embrace a Godly life characterized by Godly traits or engage in behaviors that are less than righteous. The following devotionals serve as a guide to keep us on the path of righteousness.

Verse 272 - Saturday

Godly traits

Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering.

Rom 12:1 (MSG)

Always keep in mind that every action we take should be approached from a Godly position.

Verse 273 - Sunday

PeaceFul

Do all that you can to live in peace with everyone.

Rom 12:18

Let us make every effort (2 Pet 3:14), to resolve our disagreements (Phil 4:2) and find common ground (1 Cor 9:22), so that we can live united (Eph 4:3) in harmony (1 Cor 1:10).

Verse 274 - Monday

Faith

The act of faith is what distinguished our ancestors, set them above the crowd.

Heb 11:2 (MSG)

To truly perform God's work, we must possess unwavering faith, being fully devoted and filled with faith (Acts 6:5).

Verse 275 - Tuesday

Integrity

As they approached, Jesus said, “Now here is a genuine son of Israel—a man of complete integrity.”

John 1:47

We must consistently embody honesty (2 Cor 6:8) and truth (2 Cor 4:2) always (2 Cor 7:14), reflecting these virtues in our actions and words.

Verse 276 - Wednesday

HUMBLE

But those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.

Matt 23:12

Jesus, the Son of God, exemplified humility by surrendering his divine privileges and becoming a servant (Phil 2:7). We are called to emulate this humility, as we are instructed to be humble as children (Matt 18:4) and consistently (Eph 4:2) demonstrate humility towards all (Titus 3:2).

Verse 277 - Thursday

Forgiveness

If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you.

Matt 6:14

Regardless of the frequency of offenses committed against us, we are called to forgive each time (Matt 18:21-22). Just as Jesus forgives us repeatedly, we must forgive others repeatedly (Col 3:13).

Verse 278 - Friday

Merciful

Shouldn’t you have mercy on your fellow servant, just as I had mercy on you?

Matt 18:33

Taking into account the immense mercy God has shown us, we are obliged to show mercy to others as well (Jam 2:13). This act of mercy is more important than any sacrifice we could offer to God (Matt 9:13). Moreover, showing mercy to those who have wavering faith is particularly important (Jude 1:22).

Verse 279 - Saturday

Compassionate

You must be compassionate, just as your Father is compassionate.

Luke 6:36

Moved by compassion, Jesus healed the sick (Matt 14:14), and provided guidance to the confused and helpless (1 John 3:17). In the same spirit, when we encounter those in need, we are called to show compassion towards them as well (Matt 9:36).

Verse 280 - Sunday

Empathy

Then Jesus called his disciples and told them, “I feel sorry for these people. They have been here with me for three days, and they have nothing left to eat. I don’t want to send them away hungry, or they will faint along the way.”

Matt 15:32

Expressing sorrow acknowledges the pain of others, but Jesus demonstrated empathy by not only understanding and sharing their pain but also healing them (Matt 20:34). Empathy allows us to share in the tears of those who weep (Rom 12:15).

Verse 281 - Monday

Responsible

When you are on the way to court with your accuser, try to settle the matter before you get there. Otherwise, your accuser may drag you before the judge, who will hand you over to an officer, who will throw you into prison.

Luke 12:58

It is advisable to promptly take responsibility for your mistake as soon as you recognize it.

Verse 282 - Tuesday

Genuine Care

I have no one else like Timothy, who genuinely cares about your welfare.

Phil 2:20

With the same tender affection that parents have for their children (1 Thes 2:11), we ought to extend genuine care and support to those who are vulnerable (1 Thes 5:14).

Verse 283 - Wednesday

Soft spoken

Words are powerful; take them seriously. Words can be your salvation. Words can also be your damnation.”

Matt 12:36-37 (MSG)

Exercise caution in your conversations about one another and choose your words wisely (James 4:11), as harsh speech is seldom justified or beneficial.

Verse 284 - Thursday

Honest

With Christ as my witness, I speak with utter truthfulness. My conscience and the Holy Spirit confirm it.

Rom 9:1

Our speech should always embody sincerity, honesty, and truthfulness (Matt 5:33).

Verse 285 - Friday

Content

Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to be content with whatever I have.

Phil 4:11

If we embrace contentment, we discover a treasure beyond measure (1 Tim 6:6), for we already possess all that we truly need (1 Cor 4:8). Let us remain satisfied with what we have, for it is a testament to our unwavering faith (Heb 13:5).

Verse 286 - Saturday

In Private

If another believer sins against you, go privately and point out the offense. If the other person listens and confesses it, you have won that person back.

Matt 18:15

If you find yourself wronged by another, strive to address the issue privately and with grace, offering them an opportunity for correction and growth.

Verse 287 - Sunday

Giving

Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back.

Luke 6:38

We should give in proportion to what we have (2 Cor 8:11). Do not give reluctantly (2 Cor 9:7) or grudgingly (2 Cor 9:5), but give eagerly (2 Cor 8:12), freely, and generously (2 Cor 9:9), even if it requires sacrifices (Heb 13:16). In the end, we will reap in accordance with what we sow, according to the measure of our giving (2 Cor 9:6-7).

Verse 288 - Monday

Helping parents

But if she has children or grandchildren, their first responsibility is to show godliness at home and repay their parents by taking care of them. This is something that pleases God.

1 Tim 5:4

We are called to assist in the care of our family members (1 Tim 5:8), prioritizing the support of our parents even before offering aid to the church (Matt 15:5-6).

Verse 289 - Tuesday

Helping Widows

Take care of any widow who has no one else to care for her.

1 Tim 5:3

The importance of caring for widows is emphasized repeatedly throughout the Bible.

Verse 290 - Wednesday

Elevate others

Be gracious in your speech. The goal is to bring out the best in others in a conversation, not put them down, not cut them out.

Col 4:5-6 (MSG)

In every encounter, we have the choice to either diminish, disregard, or uplift others. If we collectively choose to elevate one another at every opportunity, the world would be transformed into a more compassionate and supportive place. Let us strive to contribute to this vision by elevating others whenever possible.

Verse 291 - Thursday

Selfless

When Jesus returned to Capernaum, a Roman officer came and pleaded with him, “Lord, my young servant lies in bed, paralyzed and in terrible pain.”

Matt 8:5-6

While it may seem that the world revolves around our own lives, we must not be solely concerned with our own interests but must also recognize the needs of others. Let us take a genuine interest in others (Phil 2:4).

Verse 292 - Friday

Fasting

One day as these men were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Appoint Barnabas and Saul for the special work to which I have called them.”

Acts 13:2

Recognizing the proper occasion for fasting and not fasting is essential (Matt 9:14-15).

Verse 293- Saturday

Work

If you are a thief, quit stealing. Instead, use your hands for good hard work, and then give generously to others in need.

Eph 4:28

In the workplace, we should demonstrate enthusiasm in our tasks (Eph 6:7), be attentive (Eph 6:5) and respectful to our superiors (1 Tim 6:1), and strive to meet their expectations (Eph 6:6). Even when faced with less-than-ideal leadership (1 Pet 2:18), we should remember that our ultimate responsibility is to serve God (Col 3:23). Ultimately, it is God who will evaluate our efforts, and His judgment is what truly matters (1 Cor 4:3-4).

Verse 294 - Sunday

Employers

Masters, be just and fair to your slaves. Remember that you also have a Master—in heaven.

Col 4:1

In modern times, the concept of masters and slaves hopefully no longer applies. Instead, supervisors, bosses, managers, and leaders should refrain from using threats of punishment and consequences to attempt to motivate employees (Eph 6:9). Instead, they should inspire and encourage them. Additionally, it is crucial to ensure all employees receive fair compensation for their work (James 5:4).

Verse 295 - Monday

Hospitality

Cheerfully share your home with those who need a meal or a place to stay.

1 Pet 4:9

Exhibit a consistent enthusiasm for practicing hospitality (Rom 12:13), welcoming strangers (Heb 13:2) and the sick (Gal 4:12) with warmth and kindness (Acts 20:17). Set a welcoming meal before them (Acts 16:34) as a demonstration of your care and compassion.

Verse 296 - Tuesday

Patience

Brothers and sisters, we urge you to warn those who are lazy. Encourage those who are timid. Take tender care of those who are weak. Be patient with everyone.

1 Thes 5:14

True patience is demonstrated not only during favorable circumstances but also when we patiently await God's timing (Heb 6:15), endure troubles (Rom 12:12), and persevere through suffering (James 5:10). Additionally, we should exercise patience with our fellow believers, even when they are at fault (Eph 4:2), and with difficult people (2 Tim 2:24), including those who cause us trouble (1 Cor 4:12).

Verse 297 - Wednesday

Joyful

Always be joyful.

1 Thes 5:16

Even in times of heartache (2 Cor 6:10) and troubles (2 Cor 7:4), we can maintain joy.

Verse 298 - Thursday

Focused

And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.

Phil 4:8

In today's world, where jobs, finances, and an abundance of information vie for our attention, it's easy to feel overwhelmed. However, by centering our thoughts on living a Godly life, we can maintain focus on what truly matters and avoid getting lost in the chaos.

Verse 299 - Friday

Parenting

Children, obey your parents because you belong to the Lord, for this is the right thing to do. “Honor your father and mother.” This is the first commandment with a promise: If you honor your father and mother, “things will go well for you, and you will have a long life on the earth.

Eph 6:1-3

In our role as parents, it is crucial to teach our children to listen to us, as exemplified by Jesus himself (Luke 2:51). However, we must also be mindful of our approach and avoid being harsh with our children (Col 3:21), nurturing a loving and understanding relationship with them instead.

Verse 300 - Saturday

Diet

For instance, one person believes it’s all right to eat anything. But another believer with a sensitive conscience will eat only vegetables. Those who feel free to eat anything must not look down on those who don’t. And those who don’t eat certain foods must not condemn those who do, for God has accepted them.

Rom 14:2-3

Honoring God with our bodies (1 Cor 6:20) involves making mindful choices about what we eat and drink, whether we choose to consume certain foods or not (Rom 14:6). No food is inherently wrong to eat (Rom 14:14), so we should not let anyone condemn us for our dietary choices (Col 2:16). However, it's important to be considerate of others, as consuming something that causes another person to stumble contradicts our commitment to love and support one another (Rom 14:20).

Verse 301 - Sunday

Convictions

I know and am convinced on the authority of the Lord Jesus that no food, in and of itself, is wrong to eat. But if someone believes it is wrong, then for that person it is wrong.

Rom 14:14

Even if an action is not inherently sinful and is acceptable for others, if you feel a personal conviction from God not to engage in it, it is wise to heed that inner guidance (Rom 14:23).

Verse 302 - Monday

Thankful

Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.

1 Thes 5:18

In the hustle and bustle of our daily lives, it's easy to overlook the abundance of blessings we have. Many of us are blessed with a roof over our heads, food on our tables, and loved ones by our side. While we may not possess everything we desire, we are still richly blessed. Yet, how often do we pause to express gratitude to God for these gifts? Despite the challenges we face, there is much to be grateful for. Let us give thanks to God for all that we have (Eph 5:20).

Verse 303 - Tuesday

Appreciative

Now they know that everything I have is a gift from you,

John 17:7

In our gratitude, it's essential not only to thank God but also to express our appreciation to those who serve so well (1 Cor 16:18). When someone lends a helping hand, let us not only harbor gratitude in our hearts and minds but also take the time to verbalize our appreciation to them.

Verse 304 - Wednesday

Action

Moses was taught all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and he was powerful in both speech and action.

Acts 7:22

As Christians, our faith should be exemplified through our actions rather than merely expressed through words.

Verse 305 - Thursday

Self-Control

So prepare your minds for action and exercise self-control. Put all your hope in the gracious salvation that will come to you when Jesus Christ is revealed to the world.

1 Pet 1:13

In a world filled with temptations, it is crucial for us to exercise self-control and resist the fleeting impulses and whims that surround us.

Verse 306 - Friday

Respectful

Respect everyone, and love the family of believers. Fear God, and respect the king.

1 Pet 2:17

It is vital for us to show respect to our elders (1 Tim 5:1-2) and to those who lead us in the Lord's work (1 Thes 5:12-13).

Verse 307 - Saturday

Kindness

A servant of the Lord must not quarrel but must be kind to everyone, be able to teach, and be patient with difficult people.

2 Tim 2:24

True kindness extends beyond our circle of friends and those who reciprocate it. We are called to show compassion and empathy to strangers and even those who may not treat us kindly. This level of kindness, which transcends boundaries and expectations, is a testament to our faith and character.

Verse 308 - Sunday

Self-Care

A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.

Matt 22:39

While we should be putting a great deal of effort towards loving others, that doesn't mean that we need to completely ignore ourselves. Even Jesus sought solitude in quiet places (Luke 4:42) and encouraged His disciples to rest (Mark 6:31).

Verse 309 - Monday

Courageous

But no one had the courage to speak favorably about him in public, for they were afraid of getting in trouble with the Jewish leaders.

John 7:13

In the face of inevitable challenges that we will encounter, we should not be overcome by fear (Rev 2:10). Instead, let us find courage and strength to face adversity with steadfastness and faith.

Verse 310 - Tuesday

Fellowship

But Paul and Barnabas traveled inland to Antioch of Pisidia. On the Sabbath they went to the synagogue for the services.

Acts 13:14

Whether we gather in a church or in a home (1 Cor 16:19), when two or more come together as His followers, He is present among them (Matt 18:20).

Verse 311 - Wednesday

Lawful

Everyone must submit to governing authorities. For all authority comes from God, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by God.

Rom 13:1

While we may not align with every political stance, it is essential for us to be law-abiding citizens, respecting and adhering to the laws of our government (Titus 3:1).

Verse 312 - Thursday

righT traits

Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

Rom 12:2

As we mature in this manner, we become more useful and productive for God (2 Pet 1:8). However, if we don't grow in this way, we may be spiritually short-sighted and blind (1 Pet 1:9).

Wrong Traits

Just as the Godly traits devotionals serve as a guide to keep us on the path of righteousness, the following devotionals serve as a guide of a series of wrong traits that should be considered warning signs.

Again, there is no specific number of right or wrong traits that one must get right or not get wrong. However, if we notice that certain traits from the following list keep appearing in our lives or in those around us, it should catch our attention. This may indicate areas where we might need to reflect on our actions and behaviors, and possibly need to make adjustments.

Verse 313 - Friday

Wrong traits

Stay away from every kind of evil.

1 Thes 5:22

Be cautious of individuals who engage in wrong actions (Phil 3:2).

Verse 314 - Saturday

GODless

not in lustful passion like the pagans who do not know God and his ways.

1 Thes 4:5

The most significant mistake we can make is to be unaware of God, dismissing His existence and the creation of the world around us.

Verse 315 - Sunday

No love

If someone says, “I love God,” but hates a fellow believer, that person is a liar; for if we don’t love people we can see, how can we love God, whom we cannot see?

1 John 4:20

Instead of showing love, some individuals harbor hatred towards others, and they walk in spiritual darkness (1 John 2:11).

Verse 316 - Monday

Bad Company

Don’t be fooled by those who say such things, for “bad company corrupts good character.”

1 Cor 15:33

While it's important to share God's teachings with those who have strayed, we should avoid close association with individuals who openly and deliberately engage in sinful behavior without genuine concern for God (1 Cor 15:33).

Verse 317 - Tuesday

From within

And then he added, “It is what comes from inside that defiles you. For from within, out of a person’s heart, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, wickedness, deceit, lustful desires, envy, slander, pride, and foolishness. All these vile things come from within; they are what defile you.”

Mark 7:20-23

Sin comes from within ourselves, and we cannot blame others or our circumstances for our sins. However, this understanding gives us the ability to take responsibility for our actions and have control over sin.

Verse 318 - Wednesday

Short sighted

What sorrow awaits you who are fat and prosperous now, for a time of awful hunger awaits you. What sorrow awaits you who laugh now, for your laughing will turn to mourning and sorrow.

Luke 6:25

Some individuals might enjoy worldly pleasures without acknowledging God, but such a perspective is shortsighted.

Verse 319 - Thursday

Worry

So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.

Matt 6:34

We could spend all day worrying, but it won't improve our situation (Luke 12:25). Instead, we should pray (Phil 4:6), give our worries to God (1 Pet 5:7), and trust Him (John 14:1).

Verse 320 - Friday

Pride

And he gives grace generously. As the Scriptures say, “God opposes the proud
but gives grace to the humble.”

James 4:6

Those who elevate themselves will be humbled (Luke 14:11), as God does not favor the proud (Luke 1:51) or arrogant (2 Pet 2:10).

Verse 321 - Saturday

Credit

Instantly, an angel of the Lord struck Herod with a sickness, because he accepted the people’s worship instead of giving the glory to God. So he was consumed with worms and died.

Acts 12:23

We cannot take credit for ourselves, as even if we play a role in finding a solution, it is ultimately God who resolves the problem. All credit should be given to Him (Gal 6:14).

Verse 322 - Sunday

Bitterness

Look after each other so that none of you fails to receive the grace of God. Watch out that no poisonous root of bitterness grows up to trouble you, corrupting many.

Heb 12:15

Bitterness, a result of not forgiving, can harm relationships, steal joy, and block growth. It keeps us in a negative loop, stopping peace and progress. We must let go of bitterness (Eph 4:31) and forgive.

Verse 323 - Monday

Jealousy

For jealousy and selfishness are not God’s kind of wisdom. Such things are earthly, unspiritual, and demonic.

James 3:15

Some people are so envious of what they don't have, they'll do anything to get it (James 4:2). The high priests were jealous of the apostles and just put them in jail (Acts 5:17-18). But jealousy only leads to more sin (Acts 8:23).

Verse 324 - Tuesday

Selfish

Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves.

Phil 2:3

We can't just focus on ourselves (Jude 1:12). It's important to notice and help others, offering real support.

Verse 325 - Wednesday

Scared

Then he asked them, “Why are you afraid? Do you still have no faith?”

Mark 4:40

While turmoil and uncertainty may surround us, it is essential to remember that fear can be conquered through the power of faith.

Verse 326 - Thursday

Lying

For the Scriptures say, “If you want to enjoy life and see many happy days, keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies.

1 Pet 3:10

When we lie, we deceive not only people but also God (Acts 5:4), the Holy Spirit (Acts 5:3), and the consequences can be severe (Acts 5:5). So, let's always be truthful (Eph 4:25).

Verse 327 - Friday

Inside

What sorrow awaits you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! For you are so careful to clean the outside of the cup and the dish, but inside you are filthy—full of greed and self-indulgence!

Matt 23:25

We might fake it on the outside, but it's pointless. God sees our real feelings and intentions inside, and that's what really matters.

Verse 328 - Saturday

EGO

These people are grumblers and complainers, living only to satisfy their desires. They brag loudly about themselves, and they flatter others to get what they want.

Jude 1:16

Let's not brag about ourselves (Luke 18:11) to impress others (Phil 2:3).

Verse 329 - Sunday

Flattery

These people are grumblers and complainers, living only to satisfy their desires. They brag loudly about themselves, and they flatter others to get what they want.

Jude 1:16

It's important to be genuine in our interactions and avoid using flattery merely as a means to an end.

Verse 330 - Monday

Credit

Nor do we boast and claim credit for the work someone else has done. Instead, we hope that your faith will grow so that the boundaries of our work among you will be extended.

2 Cor 10:15

Never claim someone else's work as your own.

Verse 331 - Tuesday

Complaining

Do everything without complaining and arguing, so that no one can criticize you…

Phl 2:14-15

Complaining and arguing won't help much; it just invites criticism from others.

Verse 332 - Wednesday

Exclusion

But when Peter arrived back in Jerusalem, the Jewish believers criticized him. “You entered the home of Gentiles and even ate with them!” they said.

Acts 11:2-3

We should be friendly and welcoming to everyone, no matter their background. We should be able to share a meal with anyone, regardless of their religion, skin color, or ethnicity.

Verse 333 - Thursday

Greatest

Then his disciples began arguing about which of them was the greatest.

Luke 9:46

Instead of arguing about who's the best, let's focus on doing our best for God. What truly matters is not what others think of us, but what God thinks of us.

Verse 334 -Friday

Heart

But the words you speak come from the heart—that’s what defiles you. For from the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, all sexual immorality, theft, lying, and slander. These are what defile you. Eating with unwashed hands will never defile you.

Matt 15:18-20

Eventually, what is truly in our hearts will come to light, whether it's good or bad. What's in your heart?

Verse 335 - Saturday

Greed

So put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within you. Have nothing to do with sexual immorality, impurity, lust, and evil desires. Don’t be greedy, for a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world.

Col 3:5

We might hide greed from people, but not from God. If we have greed, God will definitely confront us about it (Matthew 23:25).

Verse 336 - Sunday

Selfish ambition

For wherever there is jealousy and selfish ambition, there you will find disorder and evil of every kind.

James 3:16

Striving for personal success solely to satisfy our own desires is hardly justifiable.

Verse 337 - Monday

Lust

You have heard the commandment that says, ‘You must not commit adultery.’ But I say, anyone who even looks at a woman with lust has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

Matt 5:27-28

Lust can mislead us, causing us to live as though we are ignorant of God and His desires for our conduct (1 Thes 4:5).

Verse 338 - Tuesday

Food

They are headed for destruction. Their god is their appetite, they brag about shameful things, and they think only about this life here on earth.

Phil 3:19

Food is a blessing from God for our survival, but we shouldn't let our desire for more and more food become an idol.

Verse 339 - Wednesday

Wasteful

After everyone was full, Jesus told his disciples, “Now gather the leftovers, so that nothing is wasted.”

John 6:12

We should be thankful for God's blessings and use them wisely. Even if we have a lot, we shouldn't be wasteful.

Verse 340 - Thursday

Sex

Run from sexual sin! No other sin so clearly affects the body as this one does. For sexual immorality is a sin against your own body.

1 Cor 6:18

Some people chase after lustful pleasures and eagerly engage in all kinds of impurity (Eph 4:19). But we should not follow impure sexual desires (2 Pet 2:10). We must avoid all sexual sin (1 Thes 4:3).

Verse 341 - Friday

Laziness

Never be lazy, but work hard and serve the Lord enthusiastically.

Rom 12:11

We shouldn't be idle in our work for a living (2 Thes 3:10) or in our work for God (2 Thes 3:7). We'll reap what we sow (Gal 6:7). Are we prepared to be satisfied with the results of what we've sown?

Verse 342 - Saturday

Revenge

Never pay back evil with more evil. Do things in such a way that everyone can see you are honorable.

Rom 12:17

Taking revenge won't solve anything. It's best to leave it to God (Rom 12:19).

Verse 343 - Sunday

Betrayal

For the Son of Man must die, as the Scriptures declared long ago. But how terrible it will be for the one who betrays him. It would be far better for that man if he had never been born!

Matt 26:24

While Judas' betrayal of Jesus (Mark 14:10) stands starkly in history, other disciples also exhibited failures, though less dramatically. Their struggles with faith, understanding, and pride subtly mirrored betrayals in their own rights. Today, we might betray Jesus not through a kiss or denial but by leading lives that ignore his teachings or prioritizing worldly gains like money, power, or fame over spiritual integrity. Let's strive to remain true to Jesus' message, understanding that every small act of faithlessness can be a form of betrayal.

Verse 344 - Monday

Misleading

What sorrow awaits you experts in religious law! For you remove the key to knowledge from the people. You don’t enter the Kingdom yourselves, and you prevent others from entering.

Luke 11:52

Can you picture being responsible for leading others away from God? Can you imagine doing that intentionally? That person will most definitely be held responsible. Let's ensure we don't play any part in that.

Verse 345 - Tuesday

Murder

You have heard that our ancestors were told, ‘You must not murder. If you commit murder, you are subject to judgment.’

Matt 5:21

It might seem obvious, but given that nearly half a million murders occur globally each year, we shouldn't assume that it could not happen around us. Murder is senseless and a sin, as stated in the Ten Commandments.

Verse 346 - Wednesday

Anger

But I say, if you are even angry with someone, you are subject to judgment! If you call someone an idiot, you are in danger of being brought before the court. And if you curse someone, you are in danger of the fires of hell.

Matt 5:22

Be slow to anger (James 1:20). Don't let anger control you (Eph 4:26).

Verse 347 - Thursday

Division

First, I hear that there are divisions among you when you meet as a church, and to some extent I believe it.

1 Cor 11:18

We should strive for unity as a group of believers. If someone intentionally tries to cause division, they should be warned (Titus 3:10).

Verse 348 - Friday

Slander

Similarly, teach the older women to live in a way that honors God. They must not slander others or be heavy drinkers. Instead, they should teach others what is good.

Titus 2:3

It's easy to gossip, but it's best to avoid speaking negatively about others.

Verse 349 - Saturday

Argue

Remind everyone about these things, and command them in God’s presence to stop fighting over words. Such arguments are useless, and they can ruin those who hear them.

2 Tim 2:14

Some might focus on the minutiae of words and miss the bigger picture (1 Tim 6:4, 6). We shouldn't argue with new believers about right and wrong (Rom 14:1). Instead, we should aim to unite the church in thought and purpose, rather than causing division (1 Cor 1:10). This way, we can avoid wasting time in endless debates and focus on living a Godly life (1 Tim 1:4).

Verse 350 - Sunday

Stumble others

So let’s stop condemning each other. Decide instead to live in such a way that you will not cause another believer to stumble and fall.

Rom 14:13

If our food choices cause conflict, it's better not to eat it (Rom 14:15). However, if someone offers us something to eat, it's better to accept it, even if we disagree (Luk 10:8). We should never encourage others to do something they believe is wrong (1 Cor 8:12). We can't lead others to stumble (1 John 2:10).

Verse 351 - Monday

Peer pressure

Pilate argued with them, because he wanted to release Jesus.

Luke 23:20

Frequently, we know the right thing to do, but people may succumb to pressure from their so-called friends who threaten them (1 Pet 4:4), or from church leaders who make wrongful threats (John 12:42). Even kings face pressure from their close friends (Mark 6:26) or from their subjects (Acts 24:27).

Verse 352 - Tuesday

Hesitant

Pilate turned to the leading priests and to the crowd and said, “I find nothing wrong with this man!”

Luke 23:4

Instead of making a decision, Pilate attempted to evade responsibility by transferring Jesus to a different jurisdiction for judgment. We should not shirk our responsibilities.

Verse 353 - Wednesday

Indecisive

I know all the things you do, that you are neither hot nor cold. I wish that you were one or the other! But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth!

Rev 3:15-16

If we are aware of God's will for us, we must not hesitate to embrace it and act accordingly.

Verse 354 - Thursday

Judging

Do not judge others, and you will not be judged.

Matt 7:1

It's easy to criticize others' mistakes, but do we want others to do the same with our faults (Luke 6:37)? Especially if we are nitpicking while having a significant issue ourselves (Matt 7:3). We shouldn't condemn others (Luke 6:37) because only God judges (2 Tim 4:14).

Verse 355 - Friday

Loose tongue

Carelessly call a brother ‘idiot!’ and you just might find yourself hauled into court. Thoughtlessly yell ‘stupid!’ at a sister and you are on the brink of hellfire. The simple moral fact is that words kill.

Matt 5:22 (MSG)

Even if we lead a righteous life in other aspects, our inability to control our words can negate our other actions (James 1:26).

Verse 356 - Saturday

Cussing

Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.

Eph 4:29

It's crucial for us to avoid indulging in obscene stories, foolish talk, and crude jokes (Eph 5:4).

Verse 357 - Sunday

Leading TO Sin

But if you cause one of these little ones who trusts in me to fall into sin, it would be better for you to have a large millstone tied around your neck and be drowned in the depths of the sea.

Matt 18:6

It will not bode well for those who lead others into sin (Matt 18:7).

Verse 358 - Monday

Doubt

When they saw him, they worshiped him—but some of them doubted!

Matt 28:17

Even when Jesus appeared to them in person, some still harbored doubts about him.

Verse 359 - Tuesday

Deny God

On the way, Jesus told them, “Tonight all of you will desert me. For the Scriptures say, ‘God will strike the Shepherd,
and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’

Matt 26:31

Even the disciples denied God when facing adversity (Matt 26:34), but we must remain steadfast in Him.

Verse 360 - Wednesday

gods

Before you Gentiles knew God, you were slaves to so-called gods that do not even exist.

Gal 4:8

Although it may not be a popular opinion, the Bible teaches that there is only one God.

Verse 361 - Thursday

Bribe

So the guards accepted the bribe and said what they were told to say. Their story spread widely among the Jews, and they still tell it today.

Matt 28:15

Bribes are undeniably detrimental. They involve accepting what we know is wrong in pursuit of personal gain, inevitably leading to suffering for someone involved.

Verse 362 - Friday

Sue

When one of you has a dispute with another believer, how dare you file a lawsuit and ask a secular court to decide the matter instead of taking it to other believers!

1 Cor 6:1

We should not hastily turn to legal proceedings, even if we have valid grounds. It would be more beneficial to first attempt to resolve the matter amicably among ourselves.

Verse 363 - Saturday

Hypocrites

Jesus replied, You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you, for he wrote, These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.

Mark 7:6

Those who merely pretend to be righteous (Luke 20:47) meticulously maintain their appearance, yet their hearts are consumed by corruption (Luke 11:39).

Verse 364 - Sunday

Stealing

If you are a thief, quit stealing. Instead, use your hands for good hard work, and then give generously to others in need.

Eph 4:28

No one can steal. Period.

Verse 365 - Monday

Power

Then he said to them, “Anyone who welcomes a little child like this on my behalf welcomes me, and anyone who welcomes me also welcomes my Father who sent me. Whoever is the least among you is the greatest.”

Luke 9:48

In the quest for power and dominance, people often strive for self-elevation, thinking it will make them stronger. Yet, from God's perspective, real strength lies in humility. The more humble we are, the more we genuinely embody strength and power.

Verse 366 - Tuesday

Legalist

Such rules are mere human teachings about things that deteriorate as we use them. These rules may seem wise because they require strong devotion, pious self-denial, and severe bodily discipline. But they provide no help in conquering a person’s evil desires.

Col 2:22-23

Be cautious not to mix up human-created ideas with God's commands (Mark 7:7), as man-made rules can be overwhelming (Luke 11:46). God's laws were designed to aid us, not to burden us (Mark 2:27). The most important thing is to have a heart that is right with God and others, not just going through the motions of rituals (Matt 12:7).

Verse 367 - Wednesday

Intent

Look beneath the surface so you can judge correctly.

John 7:24

Don't get caught up in legalistic details (Luke 6:9). Instead, pay attention to the overall intent of what God needs us to do for Him and others.

Verse 368 - Thursday

Fake Rules

In this way, you say they don’t need to honor their parents. And so you cancel the word of God for the sake of your own tradition.

Matt 15:6

Rather than adhering to God's intentions, people have devised their own ideas and falsely attributed them to God's commands (Matt 15:9), imposing oppressive religious demands that weigh heavily on individuals (Matt 23:4).

Verse 369 - Friday

Unfair

The world is unprincipled. It’s dog-eat-dog out there! The world doesn’t fight fair. But we don’t live or fight our battles that way—never have and never will.

2 Cor 10:3-4 (MSG)

Just because the world is unfair, that doesn't mean we should act unfairly too.

Verse 370 - Saturday

Little gods

You say, “I am allowed to do anything”—but not everything is good for you. And even though “I am allowed to do anything,” I must not become a slave to anything.

1 Cor 6:12

The world can lure us into being slaves to things, good or bad. But we shouldn't become slaves to anything, no matter how good it seems. Even something simple like running can become our god if we let it.

Verse 371 - Sunday

Bad result

Don’t be fooled by those who try to excuse these sins, for the anger of God will fall on all who disobey him.

Eph 5:6

Be clear that if we keep on sinning on purpose, there will be consequences (Col 3:25), and they will be harsh (Rev 21:8).

Verse 372 - Monday

Riddance

So get rid of all the filth and evil in your lives, and humbly accept the word God has planted in your hearts, for it has the power to save your souls.

James 1:21

Run away (2 Tim 2:22) from people who might lead you into sin (2 Tim 3:5).

Money

Money plays a significant role in our lives as it is essential for meeting our basic needs and supporting our families. However, it often becomes a source of stress and conflict. The question of how much money is enough or too much can be perplexing, and it can distract us from what truly matters, our relationship with God.

If we open our hearts and minds, the following days of devotional may shift our perspective on how much money we truly need. Which in turn, could help us focus on more important aspects of life.

Verse 373 - Tuesday

Money

No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and be enslaved to money.

Matt 6:24

Many of us claim not to serve money, yet our actions often contradict this assertion. If we were to examine our lives, would we find that a significant portion of our time and energy is devoted to the pursuit of financial stability and material wealth? Nonetheless, we can only serve one master, and that is God (Luke 4:8).

Verse 374 - Wednesday

Love of Money

For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. And some people, craving money, have wandered from the true faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows.

1 Tim 6:10

Some individuals are so captivated by the pleasures of this world that they are ready to forsake their relationship with God entirely (2 Tim 4:10).

Verse 375 - Thursday

Don’t trust money

Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment.

1 Tim 6:17

Many fall prey to the temptation of seeking riches, only to discover that the pursuit of wealth often leads to ruin and destruction (1 Tim 6:9).

Verse 376 - Friday

Worthless

You say, ‘I am rich. I have everything I want. I don’t need a thing!’ And you don’t realize that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked.

Rev 3:17

The relentless pursuit of material possessions for the sake of having more is ultimately unfulfilling (Luke 12:20). In the end, both the rich and the poor face the same fate in death (Luke 16:22-23).

Verse 377 - Saturday

The Rich

What sorrow awaits you who are fat and prosperous now, for a time of awful hunger awaits you. What sorrow awaits you who laugh now, for your laughing will turn to mourning and sorrow.

Luke 6:25

Many individuals are consumed by the desire to amass wealth, yet ultimately, all their accomplishments and riches will fade away (James 1:11).

Verse 378 - Sunday

Give it away

Jesus told him, “If you want to be perfect, go and sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”

Matt 19:21

By being willing to let go of our possessions for Jesus, we'll be blessed with much more in return (Matt 19:29). And it's always good to remember that giving is better than getting (Acts 20:35).

Verse 379 - Monday

Share

Be as generous as you can

1 Cor 16:2 (MSG)

We should always be prepared to share with others (1 Tim 6:18) and give generously to those in need (Acts 10:2).

Verse 380 - Tuesday

Parting with money

At this the man’s face fell, and he went away sad, for he had many possessions.

Mark 10:22

Depending on how old we are, we may have spent a lot of time getting money and things. But once we see that this doesn't really matter, can we let go of the stuff we worked so hard for?

Verse 381 - Wednesday

Not for money

Yet I have never used any of these rights. And I am not writing this to suggest that I want to start now. In fact, I would rather die than lose my right to boast about preaching without charge.

1 Cor 9:15

There are false teachers who are driven by the pursuit of wealth (Titus 1:11), and some even exploit others financially under the guise of religion (Mark 12:40). On the other hand, there are those who work diligently to avoid burdening others financially as they share His Word (1 Thes 2:9), not expecting any personal gain (2 Cor 10:7).

Verse 382 - Thursday

Materialism

Then he said, “Beware! Guard against every kind of greed. Life is not measured by how much you own.

Luke 12:15

We shouldn't cling to worldly possessions, as they are temporary (1 Cor 7:31). To know what's truly in your heart, consider where you invest your time, energy, money, and love (Matt 6:21). Reflect on whether this aligns with your true desires. If not, it might be time for a change.

Verse 383 - Friday

Better than Money

Yes, a person is a fool to store up earthly wealth but not have a rich relationship with God.

Luke 12:21

We often get absorbed in chasing worldly goals (John 6:27), but these things eventually fade away (Matt 6:19). Even if we gain everything the world has to offer, without God, it's ultimately meaningless (Luke 9:35).

Verse 384 - Saturday

Minimalism

Jesus was curt: “Are you ready to rough it? We’re not staying in the best inns, you know.”

Matt 8:20 (MSG)

When we focus on doing God's work, we can let go of our possessions (Matt 4:22) that might distract us (1 Cor 7:35). We don't need material things to serve Him (Luke 22:35). In fact, we can possess nothing yet feel like we have everything (2 Cor 6:10).

Verse 385 - Sunday

Joy of the poor

They are being tested by many troubles, and they are very poor. But they are also filled with abundant joy, which has overflowed in rich generosity.

2 Cor 8:2

Even if we're poor and suffering, we can still be rich in spirit (Rev 2:9). The world's money comes and goes, but God's blessings give us real happiness and wealth (1 Tim 6:17).

Verse 386 - Monday

Debt

Owe nothing to anyone—except for your obligation to love one another. If you love your neighbor, you will fulfill the requirements of God’s law.

Rom 13:8

No matter our income, we often feel like we need a little more money. However, the Bible advises against accumulating debt.

Verse 387 - Tuesday

HUmble

Don’t be concerned about the outward beauty of fancy hairstyles, expensive jewelry, or beautiful clothes.

1 Pet 3:3

We don't need to spend a lot of money on appearances to impress others.

Verse 388 - Wednesday

Accept Hospitality

Don’t move around from home to home. Stay in one place, eating and drinking what they provide. Don’t hesitate to accept hospitality, because those who work deserve their pay.

Luke 10:7

We should aim to be self-sufficient (Acts 20:34) so we don't burden others (2 Cor 10:9). But if someone offers help, it's okay to accept (1 Cor 10:27).

Verse 389 - Thursday

Content

“What should we do?” asked some soldiers. John replied, “Don’t extort money or make false accusations. And be content with your pay.”

Luke 3:14

We enter and exit this world without material possessions, so it's pointless to make them the main focus of our lives. We should strive for contentment (1 Tim 6:7-8).

Verse 390 - Friday

wasteful

A few days later this younger son packed all his belongings and moved to a distant land, and there he wasted all his money in wild living.

Luke 15:13

Even if we have enough, it doesn't mean we should be wasteful.

Verse 391 - Saturday

Taxes

Pay your taxes, too, for these same reasons. For government workers need to be paid. They are serving God in what they do.

Rom 13:6

We should give to the government what is required by law (Mark 12:17).

Verse 392 - Sunday

Extortion

“What should we do?” asked some soldiers.

John replied, “Don’t extort money or make false accusations. And be content with your pay.”

Luke 3:14

Some individuals may exploit others for financial gain under the guise of religion, but they will face severe consequences for their actions (Luke 20:47).

Verse 393 - Monday

Ill gotten Gains

Judas had bought a field with the money he received for his treachery. Falling headfirst there, his body split open, spilling out all his intestines.

Acts 1:18

Some people have no problem earning money by doing wrong (2 Pet 2:15), but ultimately, their corroded treasure (James 5:3) will get the consequences they deserve (2 Cor 11:15).

Verse 394 - Tuesday

Fake

Never once did we try to win you with flattery, as you well know. And God is our witness that we were not pretending to be your friends just to get your money!

1 Thes 2:5

Some individuals may deceive others and spread falsehoods for the sake of financial gain.

Verse 395 - Wednesday

Sacrifice

“Yes,” Jesus replied, “and I assure you that everyone who has given up house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or property, for my sake and for the Good News, will receive now in return a hundred times as many houses, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, and property—along with persecution. And in the world to come that person will have eternal life.

Mark 10:29-30

Surrendering our possessions, which we've worked hard to acquire, can be challenging, but giving them up for God is a worthy sacrifice.

Verse 396 - Thursday

Sorrow

Your gold and silver are corroded. The very wealth you were counting on will eat away your flesh like fire. This corroded treasure you have hoarded will testify against you on the day of judgment.

James 5:3

The rich may experience joy in the present, but eventually, when wealth becomes meaningless to everyone, they may be overcome by sorrow (Luke 6:24).

Verse 397 - Friday

Threatened

He called them together, along with others employed in similar trades, and addressed them as follows: Gentlemen, you know that our wealth comes from this business.

Acts 19:25

Those who earn money through unethical means are fully aware of their wrongdoing. If you try to shed light on their actions, they may feel threatened and potentially take action against you.

Verse 398 - Saturday

Loan

And if you lend money only to those who can repay you, why should you get credit? Even sinners will lend to other sinners for a full return.

Luke 6:34

If someone is in need and requests a loan, instead of viewing it as a financial investment, we should see it as a chance to assist them, even if there's a possibility we may not be repaid (Luke 6:35).

Verse 399 - Sunday

True Wealth

Because of this decision we don’t evaluate people by what they have or how they look.

2 Cor 5:16 (MSG)

Traditionally, wealth is quantified by net worth, including one's bank balance, property, and income. However, true wealth has no connection to material possessions.

Bad People

Unfortunately, there are individuals in the world with genuinely malicious intentions. They harbor a deep-seated hatred for God, and their actions often bear the bitter fruits of their malice. It is crucial to be aware of the warning signs that these individuals may exhibit to protect oneself and those around us.

Verse 400 - Monday

Lost

When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them because they were confused and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.

Matt 9:36

Many individuals are busy, yet they lack a true purpose. They might be constantly occupied, but not gaining towards anything meaningful. They may be jumping from one task to another without making any real progress towards a true goal.

Verse 401 - Tuesday

Liars

Then he said, “You son of the devil, full of every sort of deceit and fraud, and enemy of all that is good! Will you never stop perverting the true ways of the Lord?

Acts 13:10

Unfortunately, some individuals are more than willing to lie  (Luke 3:14). They attempted to kill Jesus from birth through lies (Matt 2:8) and ultimately succeeded in crucifying him through false accusations (Matt 26:59).

Verse 402 - Wednesday

Temptors

One day Jesus said to his disciples, “There will always be temptations to sin, but what sorrow awaits the person who does the tempting! It would be better to be thrown into the sea with a millstone hung around your neck than to cause one of these little ones to fall into sin.

Luke 17:1-2

To sin is already a grave matter, but to lead others into sin, is truly a grave offense.

Verse 403 - Thursday

Untrustworthy

When it was time to leave, they returned to their own country by another route, for God had warned them in a dream not to return to Herod.

Matt 2:12

It is unfortunate that there are individuals in the world harboring ill intentions. We must exercise caution in whom we place our trust, as there are those who may try to exploit or harm us.

Verse 404 - Friday

Bad team

Then some Jews arrived from Antioch and Iconium and won the crowds to their side. They stoned Paul and dragged him out of town, thinking he was dead.

Acts 14:19

The motivation to oppose Christians can be so intense that even adversaries are willing to set aside their differences and collaborate in opposition against them (Luke 23:12).

Verse 405 - Saturday

Bad Fruit

A good tree can’t produce bad fruit, and a bad tree can’t produce good fruit.

Matt 7:18

One's true self will inevitably be revealed, no matter how much effort is exerted to conceal it.

Verse 406 - Sunday

Threatened

We must not be like Cain, who belonged to the evil one and killed his brother. And why did he kill him? Because Cain had been doing what was evil, and his brother had been doing what was righteous. So don’t be surprised, dear brothers and sisters, if the world hates you.

1 John 3:12-13

When one conducts themselves correctly while others engage in misconduct, and those in the wrong are aware of their own transgressions, they may feel threatened by the presence of someone acting appropriately.

Verse 407 - Monday

Offended

Dear brothers and sisters, if I were still preaching that you must be circumcised—as some say I do—why am I still being persecuted? If I were no longer preaching salvation through the cross of Christ, no one would be offended.

Gal 5:11

Since people hold diverse beliefs, when sharing the Word of God with them, which may challenge their convictions, could potentially be offensive to them.

Verse 408 - Tuesday

Greed

Then the Lord said to him, “You Pharisees are so careful to clean the outside of the cup and the dish, but inside you are filthy—full of greed and wickedness!

Luke 11:39

Greed is a potent driving force that can compel individuals to deceive and exploit others unjustly (2 Pet 2:3).

Verse 409 - Wednesday

Ill will

Herod was furious when he realized that the wise men had outwitted him. He sent soldiers to kill all the boys in and around Bethlehem who were two years old and under, based on the wise men’s report of the star’s first appearance.

Matt 2:16

Regrettably, certain individuals harbor unrestrained ill intentions. Both John the Baptist (Matt 14:8-9) and Jesus (Matt 20:18) were targeted and ultimately killed intentionally.

Verse 410 - Thursday

Mislead

So if you ignore the least commandment and teach others to do the same, you will be called the least in the Kingdom of Heaven. But anyone who obeys God’s laws and teaches them will be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven.

Matt 5:19

Deliberately disregarding the Bible's teachings and then misleading others is not a position one wants to be in.

Verse 411 - Friday

Lies

They told the soldiers, “You must say, ‘Jesus’ disciples came during the night while we were sleeping, and they stole his body.’

Matt 28:13

Not only were the elders prepared to deceive, but they were also compelling others to do the same. How far are individuals willing to go to achieve their objectives?

Verse 412 - Saturday

Hate light

Instead, you are trying to kill me because I told you the truth, which I heard from God. Abraham never did such a thing.

John 8:40

Some people, upon hearing God's message, find it so overwhelming that they struggle to cope with it and may attempt to remove the Word of God from their lives.

Verse 413 - Sunday

Jealousy

The high priest and his officials, who were Sadducees, were filled with jealousy

Acts 5:17

Some individuals, consumed by jealousy, are more than willing to cause harm (Acts 13:45) and damage (Acts 17:5) to others.

Verse 414 - Monday

Money at risk

Her masters’ hopes of wealth were now shattered, so they grabbed Paul and Silas and dragged them before the authorities at the marketplace.

Acts 16:19

If you jeopardize others' income, even if they acquired it illegitimately, you, in turn, will face risks.

Verse 415 - Tuesday

False ones

Even that question came up only because of some so-called believers there—false ones, really—who were secretly brought in. They sneaked in to spy on us and take away the freedom we have in Christ Jesus. They wanted to enslave us and force us to follow their Jewish regulations.

Gal 2:4

Regrettably, there exist deceitful teachers who intentionally aim to sway you from the Bible's teachings. Therefore, exercise caution in choosing who you listen to.

Verse 416 - Wednesday

Weapons

And immediately, even as Jesus said this, Judas, one of the twelve disciples, arrived with a crowd of men armed with swords and clubs. They had been sent by the leading priests, the teachers of religious law, and the elders.

Mark 14:43

The message of God's messengers poses such a threat to some, that they are willing to resort to violence to suppress it.

Verse 417 - Thursday

Bad results

Watch now, for the Lord has laid his hand of punishment upon you, and you will be struck blind. You will not see the sunlight for some time. Instantly mist and darkness came over the man’s eyes, and he began groping around begging for someone to take his hand and lead him.

Acts 13:11

Be warned, actions bear consequences. Those who intentionally commit wrongdoings will be held responsible.

Persecuted

Unfortunately, there are individuals with malicious intent who target and persecute Christians. As a result, some Christians suffer simply for being followers, despite not having done anything wrong. It's important to acknowledge the risks and remain vigilant.

Verse 418 - Friday

Persecuted

Since they persecuted me, naturally they will persecute you.

John 15:20

If we are seriously spreading the Word of God, we must be prepared that it will not be received positively by all, and some may try to stop us.

Verse 419 - Saturday

Exiled

I, John, am your brother and your partner in suffering and in God’s Kingdom and in the patient endurance to which Jesus calls us. I was exiled to the island of Patmos for preaching the word of God and for my testimony about Jesus.

Rev 1:9

Some individuals may attempt to exile you for sharing the Good News.

Verse 420 - Sunday

Suffering

So you received the message with joy from the Holy Spirit in spite of the severe suffering it brought you. In this way, you imitated both us and the Lord.

1 Thes 1:6

While suffering is inherently uncomfortable, we should take joy in suffering for Him (Col 1:24) as it is a privilege (Phl 1:29). When we endure suffering patiently and without quitting (Rev 2:3), we attain true wealth (Rev 2:9).

Verse 421 - Monday

Jesus too

Then Simeon blessed them, and he said to Mary, the baby’s mother, “This child is destined to cause many in Israel to fall, and many others to rise. He has been sent as a sign from God, but many will oppose him.

Luke 2:34

Even Jesus, the Son of God, faced persecution (Acts 9:5). He received no justice, endured humiliation, and was led like a sheep to the slaughter (Acts 8:32-33).

Verse 422 - Tuesday

Others too

Sometimes you were exposed to public ridicule and were beaten, and sometimes you helped others who were suffering the same things.

Heb 10:33

We are quick to recognize our own pain, but we must also be mindful of the pain of others.

Verse 423 - Wednesday

Revealed

And the judgment is based on this fact: God’s light came into the world, but people loved the darkness more than the light, for their actions were evil. All who do evil hate the light and refuse to go near it for fear their sins will be exposed.

John 3:19-20

If we accuse the world of doing evil, they will not like it (John 7:7).

Verse 424 - Thursday

NO peace

And everyone will hate you because you are my followers.

Luke 21:17

At first, one might assume that the arrival of Jesus would bring immediate peace on earth. However, that was not His primary purpose (Matt 10:34). Instead, Jesus came to save us. This mission, however, would inevitably cause division among people, separating believers from non-believers (Luke 13:52).

Verse 425 - Friday

Hated

If the world hates you, remember that it hated me first.

John 15:18

It's quite intriguing that a message centered around love for God and love for others can sometimes provoke hostility.

Verse 426 - Saturday

Conspire

The next morning a group of Jews got together and bound themselves with an oath not to eat or drink until they had killed Paul. There were more than forty of them in the conspiracy

Acts 23:12-13

Be cautious when threatening to expose others' misdeeds, as it may provoke a unified backlash against you.

Persecuted

Do you remember what I told you? ‘A slave is not greater than the master.’ Since they persecuted me, naturally they will persecute you. And if they had listened to me, they would listen to you.

John 15:20

By continuously spreading the Word of God and illuminating the darkness, there is a possibility that some individuals may not appreciate it and could respond negatively.

Verse 428 - Monday

Talk

Herod Antipas, the king, soon heard about Jesus, because everyone was talking about him. Some were saying, “This must be John the Baptist raised from the dead. That is why he can do such miracles.”

Mark 6:14

If you have a prominent role in God's work, it's likely that you will become a subject of discussion,  though the conversations may not always be favorable.

Verse 429 - Tuesday

For doing right

God blesses those who are persecuted for doing right, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs.

Matt 5:10

It's unexpected that one might face repercussions for doing what is right, yet it does occur.

Verse 430 - Wednesday

Followers

Then you will be arrested, persecuted, and killed. You will be hated all over the world because you are my followers.

Matt 24:9

Despite the willingness of others to persecute, deceive, and speak ill of His followers (Matt 5:11), even these instances provide opportunities to share the message of God with those rulers and unbelievers (Matt 10:18).

Verse 431 - Thursday

For preaching

And because I preach this Good News, I am suffering and have been chained like a criminal. But the word of God cannot be chained.

2 Tim 2:9

Even Jesus was falsely accused of inciting riots (Acts 24:5) while His teachings simply focused on sharing the Good News and promoting love for others.

Verse 432 - Friday

Nothing wrong

There will always be people who try to prevent others from sharing the Word of God.

No due process

But Paul replied, “They have publicly beaten us without a trial and put us in prison—and we are Roman citizens. So now they want us to leave secretly? Certainly not! Let them come themselves to release us!”

Acts 16:37

We might assume that if someone is falsely accusing us, we would have the opportunity to prove our innocence in court. However, even that might not occur, and the truth may not come to light.

Verse 435 - Monday

Love them

But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you!

Matt 5:44

This can indeed be very difficult, but yes, it is important to love even those who are acting against you.

Verse 436 - Tuesday

Silencing

So they called the apostles back in and commanded them never again to speak or teach in the name of Jesus.

Acts 4:18

Some might wish to silence the messengers and prevent them from ever speaking in His name again (Acts 5:40).

Suffering

But first the Son of Man must suffer terribly and be rejected by this generation.

Luke 16:25

Unfortunately, some might have to endure suffering.

Verse 439 - Friday

Rejected

His parents said this because they were afraid of the Jewish leaders, who had announced that anyone saying Jesus was the Messiah would be expelled from the synagogue.

John 9:22

Not only the public but also religious leaders (Mark 8:31) might reject (Luke 17:25) those who share the Word of God.

Verse 440 - Saturday

Jailed

You suffered along with those who were thrown into jail, and when all you owned was taken from you, you accepted it with joy. You knew there were better things waiting for you that will last forever.

Heb 10:34

In some places, even today, people are arrested (Matt 21:46) and imprisoned (Matt 11:2) for spreading the Word of God.

Verse 441 - Sunday

Plotted

After a while some of the Jews plotted together to kill him.

Acts 9:23

It's not a spontaneous act; some individuals meticulously plot to harm those who serve God (Acts 25:3).

Verse 442 - Monday

Betrayed

Listen to me and remember what I say. The Son of Man is going to be betrayed into the hands of his enemies.

Luke 9:44

While there will be consequences for those who betray others (Luke 22:22), you can never be sure who might betray you, even those closest to you (Luke 9:44).

You suffered along with those who were thrown into jail, and when all you owned was taken from you, you accepted it with joy. You knew there were better things waiting for you that will last forever.

Heb 10:34

In serving God, you might lose everything in this world, but those are just worldly possessions.

Verse 445 - Thursday

Danger

Yes, we live under constant danger of death because we serve Jesus, so that the life of Jesus will be evident in our dying bodies. So we live in the face of death, but this has resulted in eternal life for you.

2 Cor 4:11-12

Sadly, in some parts of the world, it is very dangerous.

Verse 446 - Friday

Killed

Even those closest to you—your parents, brothers, relatives, and friends—will betray you. They will even kill some of you.

Luke 21:16

The religious leaders (Mark 11:18) and the public (Acts 21:36) wanted to kill Jesus. In most of the world, this isn't a daily threat, but sadly, in some places, sharing His Word can still be very dangerous.

Verse 447 - Saturday

Bad ending

As a result, you will be held responsible for the murder of all godly people of all time—from the murder of righteous Abel to the murder of Zechariah son of Berekiah, whom you killed in the Temple between the sanctuary and the altar.

Matt 23:35

In the end, those who harm the men and women of God will be held responsible (Mark 12:9).

Verse 450 - Tuesday

Blameless

We live in such a way that no one will stumble because of us, and no one will find fault with our ministry.

2 Cor 6:3

Ensure you live with integrity in all aspects, so no one can find fault in your actions (1 Pet 2:12).

Verse 451 - Wednesday

False Teachers

Now the Holy Spirit tells us clearly that in the last times some will turn away from the true faith; they will follow deceptive spirits and teachings that come from demons. These people are hypocrites and liars, and their consciences are dead.

1 Tim 4:1-2

Watch out for false teachers who will infiltrate your community (Acts 20:29), distorting the truth (Acts 20:30).

Verse 452 - Thursday

Know the Bible

If people try to lead you astray with them, ignore them (Matt 15:14). Or if a place doesn't welcome you, move on (Luke 10:10).

1 Pet 4:19

It might be hard to believe during tough times, but God never forgets us by accident. We need to trust that He will take care of us.

Verse 457 - Tuesday

Blessed

What blessings await you when people hate you and exclude you and mock you and curse you as evil because you follow the Son of Man. When that happens, be happy! Yes, leap for joy! For a great reward awaits you in heaven. And remember, their ancestors treated the ancient prophets that same way.

Luke 6:22-23

To the world, we might be outcasts, but in God's eyes, we are blessed.

Verse 458 - Wednesday

No shame

But it is no shame to suffer for being a Christian. Praise God for the privilege of being called by his name!

1 Pet 4:16

A real mark of honor.

Verse 459 - Thursday

Not afraid

But you should keep a clear mind in every situation. Don’t be afraid of suffering for the Lord. Work at telling others the Good News, and fully carry out the ministry God has given you.

2 Tim 4:5

Sure, any situation where we might suffer for His name would be scary, but we don't need to be afraid.

Heb 10:34

Although we might want to avoid difficulties now, we will be greatly rewarded in the long term, even if it's uncomfortable at the moment.

Strength

In the face of the many challenges before us, it is apparent that we will need a tremendous amount of strength to overcome them. However, we can find comfort in our faith and hope in God. He can not only deliver us from fear and anxiety but also empower us to accomplish feats that require great strength and power, enabling us to carry out His work through us.

Verse 465 - Wednesday

He cares

What’s the price of a pet canary? Some loose change, right? And God cares what happens to it even more than you do. We must remember that He will never forget us because He knows us and our needs perfectly.

Verse 466 - Thursday

Verse 467 - Friday

Possible

“Abba, Father,” he cried out, “everything is possible for you. Please take this cup of suffering away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.”

Mark 14:36

We must know that for God, everything is possible. But we also must accept that receiving what we want, might not serve His plan.

With us

For I am with you, and no one will attack and harm you, for many people in this city belong to me.

Verse 472 - Wednesday

As God is our everlasting source of hope (Rom 15:13), we can and should have a strong (Heb 6:19) and enduring hope (1 Thes 1:3).

Verse 474 - Friday

Action

Matt 17:27

Jesus could have done miracles instantly, but often, the person had to do something first (Matt 17:27), maybe to show their faith. Is God asking you to act on something?

Verse 475 - Saturday

gifts

“You parents—if your children ask for a loaf of bread, do you give them a stone instead? Or if they ask for a fish, do you give them a snake? Of course not! Verse 477 - Monday

Don’t worry

That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing? Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are? Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?

Matt 6:25-27

Worrying won't help. We need to trust in Him (Eph 3:17).

Don’t be intimidated in any way by your enemies. This will be a sign to them that they are going to be destroyed, but that you are going to be saved, even by God himself.

2 Cor 4:1

Do not fear to do what is necessary for God (2 Tim 1:7).

Verse 517 - Saturday

Rely on Him

In fact, we expected to die. But as a result, we stopped relying on ourselves and learned to rely only on God, who raises the dead.

2 Cor 1:9

In challenging times, do not attempt to bear the burden alone. Instead, remember that God is always with us, and we can always depend on Him.

Verse 518 - Sunday

Confident

And he did rescue us from mortal danger, and he will rescue us again. We have placed our confidence in him, and he will continue to rescue us.

2 Cor 1:10

Even in this world of uncertainty, we can confidently trust in God and His Word (2 Cor 5:6).

Verse 519 - Monday

Always with you

Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.

Matt 28:20

Do not worry, for you are never alone; God is always with you (John 16:32).

Verse 520 - Tuesday

His love

Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death?

Rom 8:35

He cares for you deeply, and His love is unwavering, nothing can ever change that (Rom 8:38).

Verse 521 - Wednesday

Reward

For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever!

2 Cor 4:17

If you live in a manner pleasing to God, you'll experience everlasting (John 3:27) joy (Heb 12:2), ultimately winning your soul (Luke 21:19).

Not of this world

Let's never forget that we are not of this world. We are here on earth only temporarily. Don't worry about trying to belong to this world, or to try to fit in, as just about everything the world says is backwards. We must humble ourselves, and do not seek any glory from this world, but seek only to please God.

Verse 522 - Thursday

Temporary

For this world is not our permanent home; we are looking forward to a home yet to come.

Heb 13:14

As we're just passing through this world (1 Pet 1:17), we should always keep our focus on the eternal.

Verse 523 - Friday

Better life

Jesus answered, “My Kingdom is not an earthly kingdom. If it were, my followers would fight to keep me from being handed over to the Jewish leaders. But my Kingdom is not of this world.”

John 18:36

Once we grasp what's truly important (Phil 1:10), prioritizing heavenly matters over earthly ones and seeking a genuine life with God (Col 2:2), we'll experience a richer life than if we were to live solely on our own (2 Cor 5:15).

Verse 524 - Saturday

Worldy

Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God.

2 Cor 4:4

It's easy to become engrossed in earthly life (Phil 3:19). Don't be enamored with the world or its attractions (1 John 2:15). Cast them aside (Phil 2:8). The world only offers a desire for physical pleasure, a desire for everything we see, and pride in our accomplishments and possessions. These are not from God, but from this world (1 John 2:16).

Verse 525 - Sunday

Don’t adapt

But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God.

Acts 20:24

Don't let the world corrupt you (James 1:27). A worldly culture may try to pull you down to its level of immaturity, but God wants to bring out your best (Rom 12:2).

Verse 526 - Monday

party

In those days, the people enjoyed banquets and parties and weddings right up to the time Noah entered his boat and the flood came and destroyed them all.

Luke 17:27

People of this world may keep partying right up to their own downfall.

Verse 527 - Tuesday

Don’t belong

so that no one can criticize you. Live clean, innocent lives as children of God, shining like bright lights in a world full of crooked and perverse people.

Phil 2:15

Don't blindly conform to this world (Rom 12:2), because what it values often differs from God's values (Luke 16:15). Steer clear of anything that could rival God in your heart (1 John 5:21).

Verse 528 - Wednesday

His way

And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God,

Titus 2:12

Despite the world's efforts to influence us or lead us astray, our focus should remain solely on God and His path.

Verse 529 - Thursday

The same

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Heb 13:8

The world around us seems to be constantly changing. But God remains the same as He was 2,000 and 4,000 years ago. The same promises He made then are fully available to you today.

Verse 530 - Friday

Your life

If you cling to your life, you will lose it, and if you let your life go, you will save it.

Luke 17:33

This may seem counterintuitive, but it's true. If you cling to the life this world offers, you'll lose your true life with God. But if you let go of your earthly life here, you'll gain your real life.

Verse 531 - Saturday

Backwards

But among you it will be different. Those who are the greatest among you should take the lowest rank, and the leader should be like a servant.

Luke 22:26

The world promotes the idea that being first elevates you. But God suggests the opposite—to truly be first, you must serve others (Mark 9:35).

Verse 532 - Sunday

Life’s worries

“Watch out! Don’t let your hearts be dulled by carousing and drunkenness, and by the worries of this life. Don’t let that day catch you unaware, like a trap. For that day will come upon everyone living on the earth.

Luke 21:34-35

The world constantly tries to distract us from God using various means. Has it succeeded in your life?

Verse 533 - Monday

Praised

No, a true Jew is one whose heart is right with God. And true circumcision is not merely obeying the letter of the law; rather, it is a change of heart produced by the Spirit. And a person with a changed heart seeks praise from God, not from people.

Rom 2:29

We all enjoy receiving praise. Praise from God is great. But we shouldn’t seek praise from others (1 Thes 2:6).

Holy Spirit

The concept of the Holy Spirit can indeed be challenging to grasp, as it is a divine entity. Unlike physical objects or tangible experiences, the Holy Spirit is not something we can see, touch, or easily identify through our senses. However, the influence of the Holy Spirit often manifests as a gentle nudge or an intuitive sense guiding us in our decisions and actions.

It's this subtle yet persistent pull towards righteousness that often indicates the presence and guidance of the Holy Spirit. To discern whether these feelings and inclinations truly stem from the Holy Spirit, it's crucial to test them against the teachings of the Bible. His Words provide a reliable framework for evaluating our thoughts and actions, ensuring that they align with His will for our lives.

By consistently seeking God's guidance through prayer and studying His Word, we can grow more attuned to the voice of the Holy Spirit and confidently follow His lead in our daily lives.

Verse 534 - Tuesday

Holy Spirit

Peter replied, “Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Acts 2:38

It can be hard for us to grasp, but we receive the Holy Spirit because we believe in God (Gal 3:2). The Holy Spirit is breathed onto us (John 20:22) when we believe in Christ (Eph 1:13).

Verse 535 - Wednesday

The word of God

Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Eph 6:17

God can communicate with us through more than just the Bible.

Verse 536 - Thursday

For everyone

The Jewish believers who came with Peter were amazed that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles, too.

Acts 10:45

If you believe in and accept Christ as your savior, you also have the Holy Spirit within you (1 Cor 6:19).

Verse 537 - Friday

The Truth

When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own but will tell you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future.

John 16:13

The Holy Spirit will guide you towards all truth (John 14:17).

Verse 538 - Saturday

Follow

Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives.

Gal 5:25

Genuinely follow through with what the Holy Spirit is prompting you to do.

Verse 539 - Sunday

Helps pray

And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will.

Rom 8:26-27

At times, our hardships are overwhelming, or our path is uncertain, making it hard to know what to pray for. In such moments, let the Holy Spirit assist you in your prayers.

Verse 540 - Monday

Helps US

The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions.

Gal 5:17

The Holy Spirit is helping us when we are aware and feel compelled to do the right thing.

End of times

There have been countless false prophets in the past 2,000 years who have predicted the second coming for dates that have since come and gone.

And there will be countless more false prophets with false dates to sell you until Jesus actually comes.

The Bible makes it clear that the actual date is known only to God.

In the meantime, we need to be ready. We don't need to sell our belongings and wait for Jesus. But in our hearts, we need to be ready for His coming at any time.

Therefore, we shouldn't harbor any ill will or hold grudges, or live in sin. We should strive to live as righteously as possible and be ready for Him at any time.

Verse 541 - Tuesday

Time Unknown

However, no one knows the day or hour when these things will happen, not even the angels in heaven or the Son himself. Only the Father knows.

Matt 24:36

No one knows the exact time of His return (Matt 25:13), as He will arrive unexpectedly (1 Thes 5:2) without any prior warning (Mark 13:36).

Verse 542 - Wednesday

Be ready

Understand this: If a homeowner knew exactly when a burglar was coming, he would not permit his house to be broken into.

Luke 12:39

In the last few thousand years, we've faced major wars, but we shouldn't panic (Mark 13:7). We should stay alert (Luke 21:36) and think straight (1 Thes 5:6), because when He comes back, it'll be without any warning (Mark 13:16).

Verse 543 - Thursday

Too late

That night two people will be asleep in one bed; one will be taken, the other left. Two women will be grinding flour together at the mill; one will be taken, the other left.

Luke 17:34-35

Once it begins, it'll be too late (1 Thes 5:3).

Verse 544 - Friday

Difficult

For there will be greater anguish in those days than at any time since God created the world. And it will never be so great again.

Mark 13:19

The end times will be really difficult (2 Tim 3:1) with a lot of disasters (Luke 21:23).

Verse 545 - Saturday

The beast

Then the beast was allowed to speak great blasphemies against God. And he was given authority to do whatever he wanted for forty-two months.

Rev 13:5

There will be a beast who will fight a full-on war against those who follow God (Rev 13:7).

Verse 546 - Sunday

The Mark

He required everyone—small and great, rich and poor, free and slave—to be given a mark on the right hand or on the forehead. And no one could buy or sell anything without that mark, which was either the name of the beast or the number representing his name.

Rev 13:16-17

For those around during that time, it will be an extremely tough choice to refuse the mark of the beast, as those who don't, will be killed (Rev 13:15).

Verse 547 - Monday

Victorious

Together they will go to war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will defeat them because he is Lord of all lords and King of all kings. And his called and chosen and faithful ones will be with him.”

Rev 17:14

Worry not. In the end, the devil will lose (Rev 20:10).

HEaven

One day, we will all pass away. Heaven is not just a better Earth; it is completely different. It is all glorious, every day, forever.

Verse 548 - Tuesday

No sin

Nothing evil will be allowed to enter, nor anyone who practices shameful idolatry and dishonesty—but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.

Rev 21:27

Because Jesus died for our sins, that's why we can enter heaven (Rev 7:14-15).

Verse 549 - Wednesday

No Hardship

They will never again be hungry or thirsty;

they will never be scorched by the heat of the sun.

Rev 7:16

In heaven, there will be no more crying, pain, sorrow, or death (Rev 21:4).

Verse 550 - Thursday

Heavenly bodies

There are also bodies in the heavens and bodies on the earth. The glory of the heavenly bodies is different from the glory of the earthly bodies.

1 Cor 15:40

You might have a body that's broken, weak, or dying. But don't worry, these aren't the bodies we'll have in heaven. Our heavenly bodies will be perfect and last forever (1 Cor 15:50).

Verse 551 - Friday

Eternity

Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Then we will be with the Lord forever.

1 Thes 4:17

We will live forever with God (1 Cor 15:42) and never die (Luke 20:36).

Verse 552 - Saturday

Finished

And he also said, “It is finished! I am the Alpha and the Omega—the Beginning and the End. To all who are thirsty I will give freely from the springs of the water of life.

Rev 21:6

God's work for us is fully finished. He completed everything for us.
